I might be nuts, but I called the Dr.

I've read in so many places (including here) that some cramping is normal. But I'm worried and as my first appointment gets closer I'm getting more anxious. The receptionist was great and really comforting.  Don't worry about "bothering" them, they're used to calls for re-assurance.  If you're worried and still not convinced by google or discussion boards, give your doctor a call!  You'll be glad you did!

  • @misslizzy82‌ Thanks for posting this! I've been worried about the exact same thing. I got my appointment today and it's not until June 26th

"So I'll pry be stressing out over cramps for the next 5 weeks! I'm assuming your doc said it's completely normal?"
  • Yes, she said as long as it's not accompanied by heavy bleeding or clotting.  And it's not a stabbing pain that lasts a while it's ok.  I asked about a stabbing pain that goes as quickly as it came, just a quick pulse that doesn't linger and she said that should be OK too but if it gets worse to let them know.

  • With my first, I worried a lot. The nurses were so great at reassuring me. I'm sure I will have panic moments even though it's my third pregnancy. I'm a big supporter of calling your doctor when you have questions-they are definitely used to it!
