What would you do to make your life happier?

I would like to buy a house in the country, work and retire from the school district, and have enough money to be humble, but able to feel secure.

Yep. We are getting a divorce. He filed on Friday.

I'm certainly tired of us living paycheck to paycheck with no savings, but I think I'd boost my overall happiness even more by developing some self-discipline. Nothing every gets done around the house and it drives me crazy, but I can't quite get up off the couch to do it either. Like suitcases not unpacked from several months ago. *All* my clothes on the bedroom floor. Shelving units bought but unassembled for over a year. Weeds galore in the yard. Etc.

move to Europe or South America! I don't even care where. Amsterdam or London if I'm being practical about work, or Berlin, Paris, or some Spanish countryside or seaside town if I'm independently wealthy.
