1) How far along are you? 5 weeks today!!

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? Ok for now. My dad spent the long weekend here with me so I was distracted from obsessing over everything

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? Nope... 12 more days

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? Christmas.... I have so many of my favorite memories from Christmas. Family time, good food, good music. It's like magic

1) How far along are you? 8w4d

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? Better now. I had some bleeding Fri night into Sat morning, but nothing since then (at least, no bright red blood) and no cramping, so I think everything's OK.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? I have my first OB appointment this Thursday and I'm trying to schedule my CVS testing for the next few weeks.

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? Thanksgiving! I love getting together with the family and just hanging out and eating without having to worry about presents.

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? Ok - I think it will be worse as I get closer to 8 or 9 weeks because that is when I had the m/c last time.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? Nope - one more week!

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? Christmas - I just adore it. I love being with family and I love buying gifts and I love getting gifts. I'm actually sad because I don't know if I'll be able to have my annual Holiday Party this year - the first Saturday in December every year, we throw a kick-ass party - it starts at 2 in the afternoon and goes until about 5 or so in the morning. We have between 75 and 125 people show up throughout the day and night - it's just so much fun. However, it's not cheap so I don't know if I will be willing to spend the money. Not to mention that at 8 months or so pregnant, I"m not going to want to do all the work that comes along with it.

1) I'm also 5 weeks today

2) It hasn't been good. I've had a lot of cramping when I do the slightest activities. I'm trying to take it easy, but that's not in my nature. I've been having trouble standing up straight after I've been sitting for a while.

3) Dr appt tomorrow. Hopefully we will be able to confirm the pregnancy on u/s. It will be too early to see much. Just hoping for a gestational sac and a yolk sac.

4) I love Christmas. Even more now that DS is getting older. He is so excited to see the lights and the tree. I try to get my shopping done by thanksgiving so I can enjoy the holiday.

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? I love Christmas. I just get a feeling around Christmastime. But I do love 4th of July too. I love that everyone is friendly to each other around the neighborhood. We are all outdoors and sharing fireworks and inviting each other to BBQs. Just a good time all around!

1) How far along are you? 5 weeks + 2

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? It's rough this week. I started spotting last time at 5w+6, so this week is already hard on me. Still no morning sickness, either, which is really messing with me, since I had it so bad with the boys but not at all with my loss...

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? 1st OB appt. in 1 week and 1 day!

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? It's really hard for me to choose a favorite anything. I really like New Year's - it's a fresh start and there's fireworks and parties and staying up late and drinking champagne!

1) How far along are you? 5w6d

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? It was really bad over the weekend, but doing ok today. It's a day-by-day thing.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? Nope.

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? It used to be Halloween. I loved it growing up (and as an adult!) It's just so much fun and I love fall, it's my favorite season! But now with DD, Christmas is slowly winning my heart because it's way more fun when you have a kid.

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? Pretty good for the most part. I have small moments of freak out, but I've been able to push them to the back of my mind mostly. I'm trying not to worry until I have a reason to worry.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? Next u/s is June 5. 9 days and counting!

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? I like the 4th of July. I love picnics, cook outs, and fireworks!

1) 6w2d

2) Ok, but DH and I are both just subdued in our excitement since we have experienced loss before. I had a m/c in 2012 and then got pregnant with DS and everything went perfectly, then had a m/c this past December, so I'm hoping everything goes well this time. I've had 3 dreams about having a m/c, and those mess with me.

3) I have my first doctor's appointment today. I know it may just be pee in a cup, pelvic exam, and bloodwork, so I may not get any news or reassurance today, but I'm still excited.

4) I don't know...maybe Easter. Halloween is pretty fun in our neighborhood, but I think Easter is my fav because of fun, family, and the joy of Spring.

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? Getting worse, actually. As my appointment draws closer, my anxiety is going up.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? u/s on Friday to look for a heartbeat. I'm getting more and more anxious by the day.

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? It's always been Thanksgiving. Fall is my favorite season, and I love getting together with my big family and eating yummies.

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? Other than a dream I had a mc I have been better. Last week I had no symptoms and it scared me....so this week I have every symptom in the book! It's been a hard few days but I try and remind myself that the little guy is just growing.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? Nope anxiously awaiting my second viability scan next week

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? Christmas- I love getting to spend time with all of my loved ones

@ach831 That's definitely one of my concerns but DH is awesome and I know that he and my nephew would do the brunt of the work if I asked. But I just don't know. I may do a smaller version or I may just wait and do a bash once the baby is born. Plenty of time to fret over it LOL

What a great idea. I'm sorry I've been missing these.

1) How far along are you? 9 weeks 1 day (could be in the December 2014 board too but I love this group rocks so I ain't going back!)

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? nothing too bad so far. I'm still much more subdued with this pregnancy than I was with my first one. Feeling similar to my pregnancy with DD. I lost my first dear LO 6 weeks before she was due, so close to the end (never found out why). So I'll probably be a bit nervous up until this LO is here with me.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? Just had my first doctor's appointment last Friday and everything checked out great. Whew!!

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? Thanksgiving! Because of family time and stuffing!!

1) 6w, 5d

2) Doing alright, like others have said my excitement is muffled by some worry but I'm trying not to worry or add any additional stress to an outcome I can't change either way. Just trying to get plenty of rest and nutrition and take care of myself since these are the things I can control. Experienced a loss in December and that time around my boobs were really sore but aren't at all this time which is worry me.. just trying to remind myself that "every pregnancy is different" and that I can't compare things to last time since obviously last time didn't turn out so well anyway but it's all I know since I've had no other pregnancy experiences.

3) First appt. next Tuesday (exactly 1 week!!) and I feel like that is going to be a huge relief to get that appointment out of the way. All my anxiety has been on how that appointment will go because that's when I learned the US didn't look good. I have a good feeling this time though

4) 4th of July is by far my favorite holiday! We have a huge family reunion on Lake Erie every year and I'm looking forward to first announcing our news then since I'll be 12 wks.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? None. Just hanging out.

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? Probably Thanksgiving because we get together with lots of family and catch up. Plus we started a Friends' Thanksgiving several years ago where we get together with our close friends and have another mini celebration.

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? Hard to say since we just found out we were preggo yesterday, but the excitement this time is def dulled. My husband is as nervous as I am but we are trying to be positive. I think it will be worse at the 12-13 wk mark when we MC'd in February.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? Not this week, but first U/S on Monday 6/2
4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? Xmas for sure. Family, Family family.

2) How is PgAL brain treating you?
better. i still have my moments and i still check the TP every time i wipe, but i'm settling in a little better now. i've also been rather distracted because of SO's mom being so sick and SO being a wreck over it. poor guy. he's not a mama's boy but he definitely loves his mom. he told them about us expecting this weekend, even though we were going to wait till after our dating u/s to make sure we had a HB. i was afraid it was just going to make everyone more sad, since she's not even expected to last long enough to find out if her first bio grandbaby is a boy or girl, but it was really well-received.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week?
nope. i updated in the last thread a few days after the check-in that i met me new OB last week and i like him a lot, and he's scheduled a dating u/s for me next week (friday 6/6), so that's what we're looking forward to now.

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why?
halloween. i like decorating and wearing a costume (yeah, i'm one of those) and seeing all the kids dressed up too. plus candy. lol. i like decorating for christmas too but there's a whole lot of other headache that comes with christmas, and it always winds up stressing me out more than i enjoy it.

@peggels24, loss milestones are hard. sounds like an awesome party you have every year!

@Imagenis, good luck at your appointment tomorrow. at 5w, you may not even see a yolk sac yet, so try not to get freaked out if all you see is a gestational sac.

@YaMrWhite, thanks for doing the check-in! the 4th is another good one i didn't think of. fireworks, FTW! and hanging out with the neighbors and kids running through sprinklers and stuff. good times. i hope the next 6 days go fast for you!

@CrazyMonkeyBear, i get cramps when i haven't been drinking enough water (usually first thing in the morning and late in the evening), and also when i'm on my feet a lot. and spotting is always scary. ((hugs)) i hope you get your scan on thursday!

@Fightersince83, *fx* (and everything else that's crossable) for a good scan today.

@MoreThanSparrows08, i don't have any morning sickness either, and while i don't remember exactly when everything started with DS, i KNOW it had started by now because it started "early", and i thought maybe something was up with my loss because symptoms seemed to start right away but started fading a few days before it happened. it messes with your head. i'm hoping that this one is just being kind to me, symptom-wise, and hopefully your bean is being kind to you as well. ((hugs))

@LuckyPenny1231, christmas is definitely more fun with a kid. i think i get more excited for DS's birthday than he does too, definitely way more than my own birthday.

@KJsbabe, that's how i've been treating PgAL brain too. so far it's been working out well...glad it's been working for you too.

@Maebb, i try not to put too much stock in dreams. i did have dreams that i was pregnant with both DS and my loss, but not with this one, and i'm sure it's because i was already thinking about being pregnant without realizing it with the other two, because i really was not expecting it this time. good luck at your appointment today.

@Pips09, ((hugs)) i hope the PgAL brain goes easier on you. *fx* for a good scan on friday.

@JerseyHopeful, no symptoms is almost as scary as spotting, lol. glad to hear they're reassuring you now.

1) How far along are you? Coming up on 7 weeks!
2) How is PgAL brain treating you? Its been tough. I find that I don't even think about this pregnancy most of the time. I find my brain goes to other things to fill time. Last pregnancy I was filled with fear and worry this time I feel like I'm ignoring the whole thing, protecting my heart against the 'what ifs.' I wish my Dr. would let me come in for an early appointment but they said no... so I have to wait until 8 weeks.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? No appointment until 6/6....but I told my mom yesterday and we will be telling my in-laws tonight. It felt good to finally tell someone. We'll wait to tell siblings until after my doctor appointment and will wait to tell the rest of the world until 15 weeks or so like we did my last pregnancy (we miscarried late my first pregnancy - found at our 12 week appointment that we had a 'missed miscarriage' around 9 weeks after seeing a heart beating away at 7 weeks. We had told our close friends the day prior to our 12 week appointment so now we are hesitant to do any telling early).

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? Christmas. I love the sparking lights in the winter, the reason for the celebration, and the family time.

4) QOTW: What is your favourite holiday and why? Christmas!!! It had always been my fav. There's just something so magical about it. I love the decorations, the get togethers with friends and family as well as the food!! I love everything about it!!

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? … it's alright. We didn't see a heart beat 2 weeks ago (i know it was super early) so I'm anxious to see one, even then I'll still not be good until after 10 weeks most likely.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? Unfortunately no appointment for me until mid June, sigh.

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? Halloween! I love everything about it, dressing up, getting candy, giving candy...did I mention I was already coming up with ideas for Halloween costumes yesterday? LOL I'm extra stoked to have one more costume to make next year!!!

I really needed this check in today...

1) How far along are you? 5w4d

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? Awful. I had started feeling really comfortable and confident with this pregnancy this weekend, and was even allowing myself to plan for the future. Then BAM, I wake up in the middle of the night with pretty significant cramps. They only lasted a few minutes but of course now I'm feeling paranoid and like I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Last pregnancy I started with cramps like these that got worse and worse to the point where I would vomit, then 2 days of no symptoms, then bleeding and it was over. My PGAL brain can't help but think this is the beginning of the same story.

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? First appointment is on June 3.. Just gotta make it 6 more days!

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? Probably either Christmas (for obvious reasons) or 4th of July because I love being outside in the sun for cookouts and hanging out with friends all day (plus my birthday is the next day!)

2) How is PgAL brain treating you? I scared to even go to the bathroom. I'm scared of every little twinge or pain. So I'm paranoid...

3) Any important appointments/updates this week? No appointments. Update is that I haven't had anything to be concerned about...it's all in my mind.

4) QOTW: What is your favorite holiday and why? My DS's birthday, which is also Halloween, it's the only time I really get to dress him up!!
