Yet another diagnosis...

edited May 2014 in Infertility Veterans
I had my Lap today. It's confirmed, I have endo. The good news is it's only mild, and it's not on my ovaries, I cannot remember where it was located. Since it's not on my ovaries we know it is not the cause of my DOR. The bad news is DH said (in his mind), it further confirms all our failed cycles are his fault. It makes me cry that he thinks it's his fault. We will follow up in two weeks and talk about our next steps. She thanked me for emailing her about the low stim protocol for DOR and the study I attached with the email. She seems open to trying it. I will know for sure at the follow up. Thanks for all your support.

Ugh, sorry! Can you do the lupron depot treatment before another transfer? I have heard it helps suppress endo and improves implantation rates. Your sentence cut off so I can't tell if the endo is not on your ovary? Is it in/on your uterus?
It's not on my ovaries.  I will edit my post.  I was still half high from the anesthesia when I posted, and obviously didn't read it before I hit post. :-/  I only vaguely remember what she said, and DH just said it's mild and it's not on my ovaries, which in his mind confirms our failures are his fault.  I will have a more clear picture of our next steps after I meet with her (RE) in two weeks.

Not to scare you but mild endo can be worse than stage 3-4 endo. Those with mild endo tend to have high nk cells and cytokines which can make the ute toxic to embryos. I have mild endo too and I met with an RI after a loss of a normal embryo and I have high cytokines and nk cells.

I've been tested for NK cells.  It's borderline and my RE will be treating me with intralipids.  What is the typical treatment for high cytokines and nk cell?

I'm so sorry you've been diagnosed with endo. Just remind your DH that endo plays a huge role in infertility and it certainly isn't his fault. Endo creates a toxic environment and makes implantation very difficult.

I have endo (stage 3) and added prednisone for implantation failure this time. I'm certain it's the only reason it worked. It wouldn't hurt to ask about it. I'm on a very low dose (5mg) until 12 weeks.

Although it isn't fun to get new a new diagnosis, at least it answers some questions and can provide some treatment options.
