My dd is 8 weeks. I'm scheduled to go back to work this week. I breastfeed her and we've gotten her to take bottles when I'm not around. I know that babies need to be held and I truly love holding her and wish I could all day. But she cries as soon as she is put down to sleep. She could be snoring in your arms until she is laid down! She doesn't suck a paci, and I'm worried that she will scream her little head off while I'm at work and that breaks my heart! I guess this is more of a panic about leaving my baby post than a question. But if you have experience with this, please share.
Re: How will this work out?
What do you do now when you put her down? You can't hold her 24/7, so maybe share with daycare or whoever is watching her your tricks to get her to settle down once you put her down.
I am not a fan of CIO, but sometimes they need the opportunity to soothe themselves for a minute or two. My LO was at Nana's tonight while MH and I had a date night, so tonight was her bath night but she was already in her PJs when we got home so I decided to skip it. She was pretty fussy and was having a hard time going down tonight, so I decided to give her a bath afterall. I put her in her crib while I went to get something to drink...she cried for a minute and then fell asleep, no bath needed.
Good luck next week!
