first prenatal appt

I have my first prenatal exam on 6/10. I should be 7w6d at that point and im 36 yrs old with no previous pregnancies. Will they likely do an ultrasound at that visit? Can I request it?

    You will likely get a transvaginal ultrasound to view the sac and measure the fetal pole, they'll date you from the measurements.

    I just need some peace of mind that things are progressing as they should.  I'm pretty much a wreck with worry.

    Unfortunately, it depends on your OBs practice. Mine does not.

    With my OBs practice, we had to schedule our ultrasounds separately. So while I did not get an ultrasound at our appointment, we did get a dating/viability scan but a week later. But not all OBs do that.

    This will depend on your OB and your insurance. Some people get an early u/s, some don't.
