Help!!
We have given DD a dummy as advised because she was not settling unless on the breast. I had supply issues so have moved to the bottle which if she falls asleep sucking she chokes. But I fear she is now dependant on the dummy, she screams when tired until we 'plug' dummy in. I've tried swaddling and patting but she gets so distressed.
Can 6 week olds be dependent on the dummy?
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

If your baby is comforted by it, then she needs it. Her life is all about comfort and soothing right now. Don't take that away from her.

And my one-month-old will not take a pacifier but has figured out how to suck her thumb. I really would rather she take a pacifier than suck her thumb - definitely an easier habit to break later.
Then we had you.
