Enough with this growth spurt!

I am so tired of having my son stuck to my boob! We went to Target to pick up a few things. I even drove around until he was asleep. He woke up within five minutes of getting to Target screaming at the top of his lungs. I quickly grabbed diapers and checked out. The lady at the check out said "i think he is hungry." You think?!? Of courses he is. He is hungry every minute of the last 48 hours! Sorry I just needed to vent.

    I said 'love it' because I can empathize. I've now learned to bf while wearing lo pretty much anywhere.

    I feel you. I know we are supposed to watch the baby and not the clock, but it's only 7:30 pm and he's been on my boob 8 times for 6 hours today. It's making me hate breastfeeding, and it's making me resent my baby. Everyone keeps saying "it'll get better." WHEN THE HELL DOES IT GET BETTER?

    I hear you. We just got through a leap and now we are apparently on a growth spurt because last night LO was hysterically trying to nurse and squiring and punching my boobs because she was so frustrated she had drained them dry after nursing for about 2.5 hours straight. I called the lactation hotline from my hospital at 9:30 last night almost in tears and they said just keep putting her on there and my body will make more. She magically fell asleep about 15 minutes later. So I think this process is as rough on them as it is for us.

    With my daughter I distinctly remember the first two months feeling like one big long growth spurt. After that it got a lot better.

    I'm glad I'm not alone. I'm trying to pump so he has bm to get him through next week while my mom keeps him, but I can't pump when he is always attached! I finally got to pump when he fell asleep earlier and he woke right up and of course I ended up having to give him what I pumped bc he acted like he was starving!

    I feel your pain...stick with it momma.

    I read that after a growth spurt the baby will sleep a lot over a day or two. DS spent most of Saturday sleeping and was awake to feed but I felt that he wasn't feeding much (based on time spent at the boon..although he could just be becoming a more efficienct feeder). He had plenty of wet diapers and a few poopy ones today.

    Has anyone else experienced this? DS is 8w 3d. He barely nursed (5 min on one side) before bed and went to sleep at 8:30pm and slept until 3:15 am (we are up now nursing).

    My LO is FF due to latching on issues and special care after birth ;(. He's 4 weeks constantly feeding, he may only hve half an oz then fall asleep, the second I put him down he wakes (and howls) for more feed, this routine he's got lasts all day....

    We are going through the same thing '! We are now on day 4 ! I gave in last night and let The hubby give him a bottle because he was so frustrated and I was exhausted. Hang in there !
