Hello everyone. My wife just convinced me to come check out the Bump. She's been on the boards for a while. She suggested it when I was having a hard time as a new dad. Anyway I just started checking it out. Ive posted on the Dads board. I just wanted to come say hi and introduce myself here and see what the consensus is about a Dad posting here. It looked as if it were mostly moms here.

One of our mods is a dad. His name is LuckyDad but we call him Fucky. Guys haven't always succeeded on this particular board but Fucky is an exception.

Well thank you all for welcoming me here...estrogen and period talk does not bother me one bit. I don't get offended easily and I don't get butt hurt easily as well. Im more than happy to give a males perspective. As I stated earlier, this is all new to me so until I get the hang of the boards, I may ask questions about what some board lingo means.

A little about me. Im 34, wife is 29, we've been married for almost two years and our daughter is 9 months old today and she's been crawling for about a month and in the last week started standing with the assistance of our leather padded coffee table.

Do I return shopping carts as a career? No but a peeve of mine is she they're left in the middle of a parking space, so yes I do return shopping carts.

Cilantro or Beets? Yes please. I love beets in my salads but tend to eat more foods that are cilantro based. I even throw cilantro in my burgers, salads, and pasta salad.

Favorite alcoholic beverage....Thats tough. If Im feeling classy, an Old Fashioned. Morning a SPICY bloody mary or bottomless mimosa. For drinking beer days, I love a good Michilada.

Im not sure what soft pants are.

I am intentionally not answering who my wife is. I have nothing to hide, but she's afraid that I might be a little controversial at times, therefore we both discussed (as I suppose Im somewhat invading her outlet to bitch about me to the ladies when Im an ass) that I wouldn't address that question. I know its like a little getaway for her and I respect her space. Please don't hate me for this

Wow, thats just like my wife. I have a bunch of friends that have differing opinions than myself so we always get into some good debates. She hates being dragged into those. I promised not to have any here or drag her into them.

Right this minute, House Hunters. Our home enjoys Mad Men, Walking Dead, Deadliest Catch, The Following. I myself watch Resurrection, Sons of Anarchy (takes place in my home town), Chicago PD and Fire....I can't think of the others as we really don't have time to watch TV as much as we used to. Oh and totally stoked 24 is back.

Hmmm....well I would say for the most part Im more Fiscally conservative...Socially I am conservative as well compared to some of my friends but more of a down the middle and have opinions that are both conservative and liberal. It really depends on the topic.

@SpaceGirlSpiff Im with you about not caring what people do with their personal lives. I get a little more heated when what they do affects what I do.

I am very tolerant and think about what I write. I am not a hateful person what so ever. I also try to look at all aspects of a situation. There are often times that I will start a debate by playing devils advocate. There have been times FB friends have posted an article or a comment, and although I agree with them to an extent, I will also bring up the other side of the point as well.

Not Charming itself. That is a fictional town. But I am from Stockton CA, and in the show they refer to Stockton Prison (which does not exist) and Lodi which is real, as well as the town of Charming is modeled after the Mountain House area near Tracy CA. That talk about San Joaquin Sheriff which San Joaquin County is a real place. They based their police uniforms and patches off of the Sheriffs department. ***unfortunately the whole show is filmed at a studio 400 miles away***

Ok Ladies and gentlemen, just want to say thank you for making me feel welcomed. Yes I am very new here, however my wife has been on here for a couple of years so just hearing her talk about other bumpbies and such I have picked up some terms....That and I have been using the term "butthurt" for years. Probably since HS.

I am intrigued by the RTV story though...People keep mentioning him. (assuming its a him).
