Best swaddle blankets?

We have some soft cotton similar to the hospital blankets that don't fit around her to tuck ( and she's not big), we have some soft cotton but only a couple of them by Carter's that are ok but she wiggles out, I think we need the soft but thinner blankets, any advice on which ones are best? The difference in swaddled sleep vs non swaddled is dramatic!

  • Ooh thanks! Is there a difference between Aden by Aden/ Anais or the regular ones? I see a big price dif on amazon!
  • I think the cheaper ones are a bit smaller and not as soft. I don't have any but that's what I have heard.

We found some at tjmaxx that are just like the A&A ones, but much cheaper. The brand is "plum". I've not seen them in stores but have ordered more on Amazon.

We have Aiden by A&A, and the regular A&A blankets.  The Aiden ones are a little smaller, but both are larger than just about any other swaddle blanket I've ever seen.  We love them, but he can kind of wriggle out of the swaddle (no big deal to us because he's already asleep by then, and it doesn't wake him up.

  • We use the A+A boutique for day but he can wiggle out, so we use SwaddleMe blankets with the Velcro to securely swaddle him in at nighttime. They are a lifesaver - and easy at 3am!
  • A&A! It's the only ones I use

This for us, too. The velcro swaddles are the only things that can contain his flailing arms. We just tuck an A+A blanket around him during the day, usually, though.

  • DD1 used the halo swaddle sacks, DS used swaddlemes, and DD2 has escaped everything, but is the best sleeper of the 3- go figure! We do A&A (bigger and softer than the Aden ones) during the day and a mix of miracle blanket/swaddleme/swaddle sack at night.

I love the A&A blankets. I have 6. (2 packs of 3 bamboo). They are so soft and breathable. I've use them to swaddle, as a car seat cover, burp cloth, a cover while breast feeding, and even a blanket for me! They are pretty big!
The best thing I've used for a swaddle is this ergo cocoon thing. It's good from 3 months-a year and has a zipper from the top or bottom. It's super soft and has two little holes for her arms with snaps if she wants her arms free.
It's much longer.... I've got it tucked under her body.

  • I loved the thermal blankets from our hospital so much that I went and bought the gerber version from babies r us. It's smaller than the hospital one which is perfect because it is the only blanket that stays wrapped for us!
