So all these online calculators for due dates an phone apps are given me different dates haven't got midwife app for another 4-5 weeks so am a little confused my lmp was the 16th April and I have 33 days cycles xx
If you didn't track your BBT or have u/s monitoring to pinpoint ovulation, I'd just stick with EDD based on lmp until your doctor or midwife gives you something different. Likely the dates will be fairly close and since most babies aren't born on their due dates, having an exact date won't make much of a difference. Also, I've heard many doctors only adjust due dates if they are a week or more off from the lmp calculati
Most luteal (post-ovulation) phases are 14 days. It's really the follicular (pre-ovulation) phase that varies from one woman to another. So 33-14= ovulating on day 19 of your cycle. If lmp is 4/16 you probably ovulated around 5/4, which would put you around 4w6d with an EDD of 1/25. Obviously if your cycles vary this might not be accurate, though.
