Grateful

Just wanted to post because it's on my mind...and there's nothing else I can really do

My DH was driving to meet us for dinner after work last night and witnessed a young guy commit suicide. As he was driving, he saw the guy on the other side of the railing on a bridge off the highway...two police cars flew in and started running towards him, and the guy let go and fell backwards off the bridge. I was trying to calm DH by saying maybe he was ok...but on the drive home we stopped and looked over to see what was even below the bridge and it was about a 30 ft drop to a shallow creek. It took my breath away when I saw that and I feel just awful for my DH. I think it's really getting to him. Last night when I got up to feed LO in bed, he woke up to tell me he loved me...which just about brought me to tears. Seeing/hearing about something horrible like that just makes me hold my little family close and realize how blessed my life is.

Thank you @allyerrn‌. We were talking on the drive home how hard it must be to be in that line of work and witness those things on a regulars basis. Thank you to you and your DH for all that you guys do!

How awful. Keep doing what you're doing and I'm sure your H will be fine. These types of stories definitely make me want to hug my family!

So sad, I'm sorry YH had to see that. Definitely have him talk about it to a professional because seeing something traumatic can interfere with daily life for a while.
