Breastfeeding

another leaking question

I'm almost 6 wks pp and EBF and I am constantly leaking through my breast pads, bras, and shirts. Will I stop leaking while breast feeding or will it continue until I wean and dry up?

No, you will eventually stop leaking. I forget when I stopped, but it was around 3 months, I think.

  • Hopefully it will slow down! I definitely leak a lot less at almost 4 months PP, but when LO changes something (longer stretch of sleep, etc) I still will leak through pads.

Milkies are strange but awesome if you feel like you are 'wasting' the leaked milk! There is a learning curve though, definitely had a wet lap a few times so if you try them, be careful taking them off!

  • Mine has slowed down a lot during the week when I pump at work. My DD is about 4.5 months. I tend to leak more on the weekends since I produce extra milk from the pump each week.
