Help- Boy names that will meet the DH's criteria ( Hispanic/Italian)

My DH has been pretty adamant about the fact that he wants our DS to have more of an uncommon name. My DH's name is Michael, so I get it, but he also has some pretty funny criteria to match. We did settle on the middle name Joseph ( after my grandfather) Our last name is fairly recognizable Hispanic name ( think former "closer" for the New York Yankees)

Here is his critera

- Cultural/ethnic ( he is Puerto Rican/Peruvian & I am Italian/Scottish)

- Can have a nickname

- Fairly "uncommon" ( no Jacob, Noah, Thomas, Michael) for him

Some of the suggested names (that he has not dismissed) are:

We have similar criteria (Spanish/Italian names) and chose Lorenzo if DD had been a boy. Not very popular but not hard to spell or pronounce, and we love the nn Enzo. You could also do Nicolas, nn Nico, Massimo nn Massi, Maximo, Leonardo, Javier, Domenico (nn Nico too), Victor, Antonio, Manuel...that's all I got for now.

This is a great start and VERY helpful. We had Lorenzo on the list, not sure what happened. The other day, someone suggested Maceo..?? pronounced Mah-si-o or Mase- si-o.

Never heard of Maceo and I don't think I like it. Looks like a typo for Mateo. I also just remembered I wanted to mention Santiago, nn Tiago.

Maceo is May-see-oh, at least that's how I've always heard it. I really like it, it is old, not made up, not too common but not weird either. I grew up knowing of jazz musician Maceo Parker, so it is a name I've heard.

I really like Lorenzo and Sebastian. I also like Dylan on your list.

I love Matteo. My DH is Hispanic and I'm Polish, so we went for names that are English, but can translate either way. We have a Dominic (his relatives call DS Domenico.) We also liked Armando (Pitbull's real name, but no Polish translation) and Julian.
