Won't sleep unless held and today she has been crying (wailing) on and off and awake since 2 pm (which rarely happens, she always takes an afternoon nap).
I thought Wonder Weeks talked about mental leaps. There are physical leaps/growth spurts that are separate too, right? I have the Wonder Weeks app, but is there a good resource for growth spurts too (if different)?
There is the mental leap (wonder weeks) at 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 weeks and a growth spurt around 6 weeks and I feel like we're going through both right now. I hope they end soon
Something I've been wondering: I feel like I've been constantly been blaming his behavior on some form of growth spurt (currently leap now) basically since he was born. At what point will you know if the grumpiness is just the temperament of your baby? Sure we have had good days, but they have always been few and far between and whenever he is grumpy it does coincide with a growth spurt time but just seems to last for a week...just in time for the next one. I wonder if my baby is just a bit of a grump personality wise. After 6 weeks is it easier to tell?

Had our first baby, Samuel Robert, on April 17, 2014!
I had never heard of leaps before. It's been a decade since I've had a baby, but I'm surprised I haven't learned about leaps in my many child development classes (my major). I got the app and it's awesome. I've been thinking I'm just a shit parent, particularly over the past week when LO has been crying and doing little else. This information could have potentially spared my family from enduring my near psychotic break. I'm glad I have it now.
