So barely a week out from the end of my post D&C bleeding I'm experiencing my first visit from AF and boy is she a bitch! This is the heaviest AF I've ever had in my life, with lots of clots to go with it (sorry for TMI ">). No cramps at all though so I guess that's a bonus. When it started on Thursday I wasn't expecting it and I burst into tears thinking that it was my post D&C bleeding coming back after it taking almost 6 weeks to stop. But I've done a bit of thinking and I figure when my bleeding stopped for 2 days a few weeks ago and then started up again I was actually ovulating and it was ovulation spotting that I was experiencing, although it was definitely a bit more than spotting.
I'm 99% sure that this is indeed AF. I'm not quite going through a pad/tampon an hour but definitely every 2 hours. I'm wearing a super tampon and a super pad and I'm leaking out onto the pad every couple of hours. Man this is fun. I'm so over my vagina at the moment. Just a little rant.

I'm sorry! I always had the nicest periods, I pretty much never cramped and very rarely bled for more than three days. Periods were always like no big deal for me. My period came back last week and I was excited at first but I realized pretty quickly that it was not a normal period! It lasted seven days with spotting for a few more days. I'm sure the circumstances caused it plus since I hadn't had one since January I sort of forgot. I hope it evens out for you soon. I just kept telling myself that it's all part of the process of my body getting back to normal...but that doesn't really help!

@LisaG09 I always had really pretty awesome periods before too! They only lasted 2 or 3 days, were so light they required barely more than a pantyliner and if I ever had cramps they were very minimal so I was not prepared for such an onslaught like this! Thankfully it seems to be going away now. The heavy flow only lasted for 2 days and now on day 4 I'm only spotting. Fingers crossed that was a one off and my body is finally getting back to normal.

If it makes you feel any better, my post D&C period was so horrible I was having "labor pains" and had to leave work twice in a row. Underwear was destroyed and had to be cut off since it soaked through the heavy pads I was wearing. It sucked, but I can laugh about it now.
On a side note, the heavy bleeding/passing clots is actually a good thing; it's your body doing what it's supposed to and cleaning itself out. It's a pain in the ass, though. Hope it goes by quickly for you.
