Brushing baby's teeth.

Am I the only one that has a hard time remembering to do this?? Weekends are more relaxed so I almost always remember. During the week though there are days I completely forget.

I feel horrible when he goes to bed at night and I realize I never did it... *hides head in shame*

We bathe every other day, so I try to do it after breakfast.

Maybe I should try to work it into the bed time routine...

I keep his toothbrush and toothpaste in our bathroom and brush his when I brush mine. That helps me remember.

DH usually bathes her when he's home and I don't think he ever remembers.

Well when I brush my teeth my SO watches LO which means he follows me around while holding the baby. I just hand Haddy his toothbrush and let him chew on it until I'm finished. He only has part of 2 teeth at the moment so I suppose that's good enough for brushing for now. We usually brush every night before bed

I am guilty of forgetting, too. I try to remember after bath time every night, but I don't know if it's even worth doing since she still nurses to sleep with the supplemental nursing system. Is that counteracting the tooth brushing? I'm not gonna wake her up and do it after...

@Mamasighs‌ I know, but I use a supplemental nursing system with formula in it while I nurse her. Do formula feeding mommies brush after the last bottle of the night?

I totally forget too. Apparently he knows he should brush because yesterday he grabbed my new toothbrush out of the bathroom drawer and started brushing with it.

I'm guilty of forgetting too. Yikes! I used to have it in the bath, but then we went on a trip and now it is moved so I definitely forget.

Team no teeth here, too. However, DD loves to play with the toothbrushes that I bought her, because she kept nabbing ours off of the counter.

We just keep the toothbrush in plain sight in the bathroom we do his bedtime routine so I am able to remember however it took us a while to get into the habit of it. I wonder how much good it does since I can't do it for long or he freaks out, and I'm singing to him most of the time while he wiggles his head around....!

He just got his first two teeth a few weeks ago so they're not even totally out yet--I admit I haven't brushed them yet but this thread had inspired me to break out the little soft finger brush we got him.

We brush LOs teeth every night before her bath. I brush for 20 seconds (I count out loud) and then let her brush/gnaw on the bristles while we sing the brushing song. If DD sees DH or I brush our teeth, she crawls full steam into the bathroom to assist.
