but @Merie412 has graciously agreed to bump this one and/or start a new one, so please keep updating us!!!**

Lily is doing great!! She'll be 3 wks tomorrow. She finally gained weight and is a over her birth weight. I've been able to just EBF now which was not a had transition for her

She is also more alert and staying awake for a couple hours broken up throughout the day. She's still in preemie clothes AND I found preemie cloth diapers (happy heinys) too!

Brynlee and I are still working on breast feeding. Went to LC today. They always get her to latch. My goal is to not get frustrated. Day be day. She is above birth weight 5 lbs 11 oz. eats 2-4 oz a feeding. "Chompper" " chunky soup" those are her chubby names !!
She is still sleepy but growing. Premi diapers are too big still but micro is too small. Lots of leaking cuz of sizing.

Colton was recently put on medication for high BP and was diagnosed with stage 1 ROP but otherwise he is doing awesome. He's over 5 lbs now and is 18 inches long. He's been on room air and in a crib for about 2 weeks now. He's just working on mastering bottle feeding now. He takes a whole bottle in the morning and then kind of slacks the rest of the day lol. I know he'll get it eventually and then he can come home

I can't believe we are nearing the end of our NICU stay. Colton has come so far. I look at pictures of him from when he was first born and he looks soo different. I cry but like happy cry lol.

As for me just the same old chemo sucks cancer is dumb blahblahblah. I have about 3 months left of intense chemo and I'm just over it. I want to try cannabis oil but laws. >:[

Hello mamas, it's been a hard week for me but I'm feeling better every day. I don't remember much of last week (induction, labor, c section and the day after). I had a few breakdowns and cried my eyes out in my hospital room last weekend, I didn't expect the amount of pain with the c-section combined with the hormones and reality of what had happened the last several days (my pulse dropped dangerously low before the c-section and afterwards for a long time).

But as soon as I stepped into the NICU and held my baby girl for hours, I calmed down. Baby therapy.

Anyway, I was released on Tuesday, I cried a lot. It was nice to go home after 33 days but horrible to leave her. Annaliese is doing well overall. She was moved to the smaller, step down NICU yesterday. She still has a feeding tube and needs eat a little bit more every feeding.

I'm pumping fairly well. She has latched and fed twice but it's sporadic and makes me anxious.

This thread is a life saver

happy to have it and hear from everyone.

@Ashes92813 Thank you! I think he is too but I am biased

. Unfortunately my only options for cancer treatment are chemo/radiation/transplant. Minnesota just recently passed a medical marijuana bill but it is extremely specific to what is and isn't allowed and doesn't go into effect until next year. Really annoys me because there is a lot of anecdotal evidence of cannabis oil curing cancer without all the horrible side effects that come with chemo.

Not on the list but posting anyways :P Parker is doing great! He has been both nursing and bottle feeding like a champ. They took out his iv today and are moving him to a crib. He looks a bit yellow in the pic but they assure us that his labs are fine and no billiruben light needed. Tomorrow they are going to let us give him a bath and put clothes on him.

@Ashes92813 - Sorry to hear that you had a crappy week, but I glad to hear that Annaliese is doing well. T&P's for a speedy recovery and that you get to bring her home soon.

@Supgabs - Happy to hear Colton will be going home soon as well as sending lots of T&P's for your treatment.

Love seeing all the pics of everyone's babies!! They all seem to be doing great!!

It's official Henry came home on Monday!!!!!! It was a long road but after 8 weeks, my baby is home!!! He is doing great and adjusted very well! DH and I are still adjusting to his schedule and sharing the night time feedings. We seem to have a good system down!! The lack of sleep is a probably the hardest thing to get used to, but he's totally worth it! Henry had his first pediatrician appt yesterday and got his 2 month shots!! My poor baby!! He's now 6 lbs 2 oz!!! We've given him two sponge baths since he came home since his circumcision is still healing. Having a boy can be a bit of a challenge when changing diapers, he's peed on himself a couple of times! It happens before we even know what's going on! Lol. But we're learning to cover him and change his diaper fast!! Our dog is being such a good boy with him and will go check on him if Henry makes any noises! Our cat has checked him out, but doesn't seemed phased by him and just kind of watches him. Overall it's been a great first few days home and we are learning every day!

Max is doing great at home! His monitor has gone off a few times that I think were legit issues, but mostly goes off to drive us nuts/jolt us all out of sleep :P I am happy that he has it in the event something really happens I can tend to him, but boy oh boy is it annoying otherwise! We had our first real outing today. We met up with my mom about half an hour from where we live and then drove another half an hour to a cloth diaper store that I wanted to check out. We went there, Buy Buy Baby, and then had lunch. Max really isn't supposed to go places too crowded so going in the morning during the week kept the crowds away. He likes to sleep mostly during the day which makes nighttime rather interesting...hopefully he figures that out sooner rather than later cause mommy is tired!

@hubbs173 OMG so excited for you! Yay for another baby out of baby prison (haha Flerl, that cracked me up!)

Glad to hear good updates about all our other preemies

They're all adorable! We have some fine looking newborns on this board, that's for sure!

Hey guys! Everyone's babies are looking so great! I'm glad we have this thread because I have to reign in my jealousy when all my friends talk about the joys of having a newborn/baby at home.

Claire is doing much better. She had the Multicystic Diplastic kidney removed a week ago along with the attached adrenal gland and mass. The mass is still being tested, but so far the results for cancer are negative.

She was able to digest her feeds today through her feeding tube and she is adjusting well to dialysis. She still has a long road to go before she can come home, but it's looking good.

She is already too big for preemie and newborn clothes even though she was born 6 weeks early and is only a week and half old so I'm having to return some clothes; no biggie. I just want her home.

Praying for the other mommies and babies. ❤️

@supgabs, I want to respond but I am overloaded with Colt's extreme cuteness... must look away... Okay! So exciting that he will get to come home pretty soon! That is the best. DS had a stage 1 ROP that resolved itself so I will cross all my crossables that the same is true for Colt. And you are seriously amazing doing this while dealing with chemo. You're hardcore awesome.

@ashes92812 - she is so sweet! I want to cuddle her. I know what you mean about the c-section and being overwhelmed with everything. Just take it one day (or hour, ha) at a time. You have dealt with a lot and there is no time when you should be "over it." Some days you will feel like crap on a stick and some days you will want to run around and shower everyone with glitter. Just ride it out and eat lots of cake.

@jujub22 - Sorry for the oversight! I will add you! Parer is super cute. That's awesome that he won't be dealing with the bilirubin lights. And YAY for dressing him up; that is totally the best part!

@hubbs173 - YAYAYAYAYAYAAYAY so excited that he is home!! Seriously, what an accomplishment. He looks extremely mischievous so I hope you are keeping a close eye on his shenanigans. And changing a boy's diaper... I want to lie and tell you that you will never get peed on again. Instead I will tell you to buy lots of carpet cleaner

They are crafty with the diapers.

@ahug77 - she looks like she is smiling in that first pic! Too cute! I am so glad things look good right now with the kidney. That must be such a relief for you. She is a trooper for sure. Love that she is outgrowing the preemie and NB clothes! Maybe she is secretly a bodybuilder? Hang in there; it's rough knowing you have a ways to go but we are all here for you any time you need us!!

All of these babies are seriously adorable!!

Miss Viviana came home last Saturday and is doing so good! She weighed in on Friday at 5-2.5 so she is gaining weight really well. Miss Francesca is also doing really well and was 5-15.5 on Friday. She may need a cheeky bra soon because her cheeks are so fluffy!! Lol.. We are still trying to get them to nurse but I think they just prefer the bottle. So I'm continuing to pump so they get the goods.

Congrats to everyone on the progresses your babies have made!!

Wow I am excited so many babies are getting to go home, it gives me hope that maybe Liam will get to come home soon too.

This week has been a bit of a challenge, he is really struggling with eating, he has to take 45 ml from a bottle to count as a full feeding and he has yet to do that. He is now up to 5 pounds 10 ounces, I can't believe how huge he is he's more than doubled his birth weight.

@babybean82, I understand your frustration. Annaliese is in the same situation. The 45's have been a challenge! But she's been getting better every day. It's so hard to be patient though. I'm so happy to hear that Liam has doubled his birth weight! He has come so far

Getting these kids to eat is so frustrating. I hope your kiddos see the value of snack time soon, @babybean82 and @ashes92813. DS took forever to finish one and then one day it was like a light bulb went off and he understood and wanted to never stop eating. It is a challenge to get there but once they do they take off!

Totally agree. 45-50 was our goal too. I remember crying when she only ate 20. Did u ladies have sleepy babies? Mine fell asleep at 20 and I found ways to wake her up. I feel really lucky. Now she will eat 2-4 oz at a time. She still has occasional snacks we call them of 10-30.
How are you ladies doing breast feeding? We are struggling with latching.
