Probably the dumbest question ever

I'm really bad at taking things easy. I'm also huge and I'm starting to worry more about it. When I'm awake and alert I have trouble getting up without levering myself with my arms, support etc. well in the middle of the night I'm super out of it when I have to get up, (and I always find myself flat on my back when I wake up) but instead of rolling to my side pushing myself up to a sitting position and standing up, I always just find myself either throwing myself out of bed or basically doing a sit-up to sit up. Should I chillax and assume when I'm really to big to do this it won't be possible any more, try to wake up more before getting out of bed? I feel like my stomach is getting so heavy now! What do you guys do?

  • Unless it hurt or made you light headed or something I really wouldn't worry about it. Your body is pretty good about giving you signals like "hey wow don't do that!!" (At least mine is)I would be careful with "throwing yourself" out of bed you don't want to fall or slip on something. I usually kind of slide out of bed but I'm not a morning person so that's how I get out of bed not pregnant too
  • I think listening to your body is what really matters. I have some mornings where I feel uncomfortable and achy so I would just scoot to the edge of the bed and kind of roll up and out. Other times, I feel fine and just get up with the help of my arms. If you feel okay, you're probably okay. =)

  • I know what you mean about throwing yourself out of bed...we have a memory foam mattress and sometimes when I get up to pee in the middle of the night, I have to practically have a "running start" to get out of bed because I feel so stuck lol. I think that like pps have said, your body would tell you if something was wrong. I would wake up on my back every single time in the middle of the night, and got scared that I would never be able to sleep on my side, but now, my body just started doing it without effort.
  • I sorta have the snake scoot and roll thing kickin' to get out of bed. Trying to put on tennis shoes? That's a whole different theatrical event.

  • Thanks everyone! You've put my mind at ease!
