Ergo Moms

At what age did you let your LO's legs hang out of the sides? I'm feeling like it's time but worried about her hips. Any thoughts?

Im no help, my Ergo has been sitting in DD's room getting no love. I really hope she will start liking it soon.

DD's legs hang out, but I'm still rolling a blanket up for her to sit on.

Eta: I didn't know they were supposed to be any other way. We've been using it like this since 3 months. Oops.

We just transitioned yesterday. We also still keep the seat part from the infant insert in

She's 4.5 months and we just recently started. Like a PP said, she kept trying to stand up when he legs were in. She sits much more comfortably in it now.

I have a bjorn. It was a hand me down. DD is in it an hour, maybe two each week. My common sense tells me not to worry about it. So I don't.

    Please google "bjorn hip dysplasia"

I've done my research. My pedi checks her hips every appt. And I stick by what makes sense to me.
Ok good. It was not something I had heard if until recently and this is my third baby. I respect everyone's decision on what they choose to do with their own child. I genuinely just wanted to make sure you knew about hip dysplasia, it's what prompted my post.
