Sandals for babe

What sandals have you gotten for LO for summer? It is already really hot here and I am about to purchase some for him. I cannot find any that I really like anywhere, except for these:

I find most baby sandals to be incredibly, well, ugly. I have this pair of sandals in my size so I figured I would just get some for him because 1.) They last forever and 2.) I am all about being matchy-matchy with my kid.

Anyone have better luck with sandals?

DD has 3 pairs right now, they are all size 5 but she's actually size 4.5 so they should last most or all of the summer. We didn't buy them for her, someone else did.

Haven't found any for E yet. Actually, I haven't found any for any of the kids, myself, or dh yet! Lol

I like the ones that cover his toes though, otherwise he stubs his toes too much.

I love keen's for both of my boys and they hold up great. DS2 is rocking a pair this summer that previously belonged to DS1.

REI. I've also ordered them on Zappos before. We buy a pair for DS1 each spring; they are definitely our summer go-to.

Keens are great! We had them for DD, and plan to buy some for DS too. They hold up great, wash easily, and are easy to get on/off.

Love salt waters. I also, personally, think crocs are cute on little ones and very functional. We use crocs for everyday play (they protect the toes and super easy on and off) and salt waters on days that we won't be playing as hard.

I have girls and I love the saltwater sandals. Mine have the sweethearts

. They wear great and you can really get a good fit with the buckles. My girls wear them almost daily and they look nearly new (even the white ones). If you don't mind gently used ones, there is a Facebook page for resale and you can often score great deals. Ebay always has new one listed too. My local childrens shoe store matches online prices, so I scour around when it is time. Amazon recently had them for $17 so watch and it may come down again.

and of course, they're now $8 cheaper than when i bought them. :-/

they're probably not great for serious walking, but he looked so ridiculous in shorts, socks and sneakers that i bought them anyway. i'll just be sure to put his "real" shoes on him if he's going to be doing a lot of walking.

back in March I found a pair of baby Keens on Amazon for $19.99. They usually run around $40-50, so that was a great deal! They are a little big now, but wearable. They should last all summer and I like how they have toe protection too.

they look like these, but ours are grey and purple (old color I guess, which is why they were so cheap).

I love gray and purple! Those look exactly like what I *wanted* to get for both my kids, but DH picked out flip flops.

Recently I stopped at a charity thrift shop (like Good Will, but a different 'brand'). I was already shopping at the stores on either side of this one, and was inspired by a recent post on thrifting. Plus I needed to get some 'around-the-house' jeans for me as some of my old ones are literally falling apart and I'm tired of attempting to pick the pieces of shredded denim out of the washer, and lint brush the other jeans in the same load. I found a decent pair of jeans for $3.99, then checked out the shoe section and found these cute (Stride Rite!!!) fisherman sandels for LO for $1.99. They look something like this.
