I know E isn't even 6 months yet, but he is just a pro at solids. LO is crazy gung-ho for food. He will try and grab stuff off your plate and shove it in his mouth, so I'm pretty open to letting him eat whatever I think he can tolerate. We also have 0 history of food allergies so I'm not too concerned. Hummus was his first food and it's his absolute favorite. He's tried sweet potatoes and carrots (I just took a chunk of my steamed veggie and mixed it with a little formula), avocado, cottage cheese, yogurt, pizza sauce, mushed apples, banana rice mum-mum cookie things, and really smashed up over-easy eggs. I let him suck on watermelon rind a lot too.
Anyone not really making food specifically for baby and just kinda letting him eat what you are? Our pedi is fine with it although she just wants us to be cautious about any reactions but is okay about us mixing foods. Sometimes I feel like E would take on a steak if we let him. Is this is like BLW?
Here he is gnawing on watermelon rind..
Re: Anyone else have a really good solids eater?
Side note, she loves ice cream.
Baby Boots went to town on a piece of grilled chicken tonight. Ate it all and then tried to scoop up the chunks that fell onto his tray and stuff those in his mouth too. We've got a carnivore on our hands.
