Me: "Would you like to change LO and start her bath?"
DH: "No."
Me: :-w
DH: "What?! You asked if I "want" to!
... Let me rephrase, Dear. Stop being a jerk and help. I have zero patience for sass right now!! I love DH, but these moments are trying sometimes. I already have to take care of one infant all day - I'm not ready to take on another!
Another DH here with the "I'm so tired". Oh, really? That 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep must've been tough. I'm so sprightly after my 3 hours of sleep with intermittent feedings and diaper changes...
He always follows up his "I'm so tired" with "But I love him so much and he's totally worth it."
Natural miscarriage @ 8 weeks - 3/8/2005

"G-Unit" born - 4/14/2014 and he's 100% perfection!!
My hubby is "tired" too. I EBF and currently sleep in a different room from him due to unexpected bed sharing so he doesn't even wake up with us currently.
I will show him tired when I go back to work in 4 weeks and he has to start helping with the overnights.
I told him the other day that my favorite part of the day with our DD was the morning, becuase she's super cute and smiley then. He then said "well this weekend I'll get 3 mornings with her to experience it!"
... Until I said "morning" is not 11am like he's used to on the weekends. Spoiled man.
Me: can you be home a little early so I can actually blow dry my hair ect..
DH: "Why can't you just put him in the swing and shower and get ready? I'm sure he will be fine"
Oh are you sure? Cause he looses his shit when I do that unless he is sleeping. That's why I don't just prance around here all fabulous looking daily, cause it's not that easy.. But as long as you're sure!
September Siggy Challenge: What I Sing in the Shower: Little Mermaid "Part Of That World"
On Tuesday, before my gyno appt. me: you really fucked me over by not letting me shower this morning Him: you showered the other day (I showered Sunday after milking cows) Me: so I only get one shower a week now? Sorry it was so important for YOU to shower and shave before someone checked MY vagina.
Why do my boobs look so good? Then I peed on a stick...
Not a funny quote, actually really pissed me off. DH and I were in an argument about me feelin overwhelmed and him not helping like he should and he said ," it's not like you have anything else to do, you don't work "
Ya... Needless to say I was furious after he said that and my feelings were really hurt that he doesn't see that me stayin home taking care of our baby is that important. UGH bad day
((Hugs)) @khammond3 :-(. That's not cool, and I'm sorry DH hurt you by saying such a thing. My DH hasn't been as directly helpful with "baby things," but he's watching her for two days next week when I go back to work. I think it will be an eye opener for him.
I hope you can positively revisit this conversation with your DH and that it's constructive!
DD's pacifier is attached to one of those lanyard clips. The other day it fell out her mouth and before DH could put it in her mouth, she starts making a sucking motion. DH started swinging it across her face and goes "hey it's like fishing." After he lands it in her mouth, he says "look momma, I caught me a 10 pounder." Nerd. :P
"I don't understand why you can't tidy up during the day. If I was sat at home doing nothing for 8 hours every day i'd at least manage to tidy up after myself."
To clarify, today, after only getting about three hours sleep last night, I unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, put a load of clothes washing on, washed up 8 empty bottles / teats etc, made up a load of bottles of formula, hung up the wet washing, hung up all the dried washing and took care of our 5 week old all day despite her crying almost non stop all day. Oh and the reason he was moaning was because I left out a plate with some grated cheese on it, and after I cooked us both dinner I forgot to throw the empty packet of fries in the bin straight away. Really?! I am currently loudly crying upstairs and storming around in a hormonal mess.

We have had exactly this!! Today's argument was necause he's tired and works hard all day!! Nothing like being beholdent to someone! I spat back today, now he's sleeping in the spare room and I'm crying loudly!
We have this argument about twice a week! I feel your upset! What makes me laugh is when I let him deal with baby he brings her to me saying 'it's not working!' Arsehole!!
Sorry to all those with dhs that are being inconsiderate. Today my dh, after I mentioned how it's so tiring with two and there are no breaks, said "well it's your choice. You chose to stay home." Some guys just don't think before they spew out words
Loving all the funny comments ladies! I feel like there were more moments like that with our first, dh really hasn't been as involved so far
DH puts DD to bed every night, tonight he comes down stairs and I still hear her crying up stairs....
Me: Taking a break?
DH: Yeah, she's being mean and kicking me....
Me: She's a month old Darlin', I don't think kits intentional.
LOL
Me (an hr ago): I am gonna go up to bed so I can get an hour or 2 of sleep before next feeding. DH: *grumpy face Me: okay I will hang out down here and watch tv with you. DH (8 minutes later): see pic
Got our pictures developed from the last 4 weeks, while looking at the ones taken just after the birth he say ' omg you look awful on that one' hmm thanks
DH was helping me with my very first pumping session this morning. I asked him to hold the cups in place from behind while I worked the knob. He said "I might pop a boner!" Hmmm...
Pumping started and a few minutes later I asked him if he had a boner.
DH: "...No."
I guess watching me being milked like a cow is not sexy...I could have told him that, haha!
DH bought me expensive name brand prenatal vitamins. He was holding LO while saying how closely he read the labels, and the beneficial properties it offers.
To LO: "Daddy got the best because he wants the best for both you and mommy so you can grow up nice and strong." Heart. Melt. I would have been content with CVS brand, but it was cute. :-)

DH tries rocking, changing, bouncing, etc. still a fussy baby.
An hour later...
DH: I gave him a bottle and swaddled him and he went right to sleep.
Me: yeah that's why I told you to do that an hour ago...
Momma knows.
