So I finally scheduled my first on visit...was waiting to pass my cp milestone tomorrow (5w), but had a little down time and went for it.
Of course I immediately start cramping like crazy...can somebody tell me that this is all in my head? I think I just need to be told to stop being ridiculous.

Sorry for being dumb here, promise I won't make a habit of it.
Re: pgal freak out...somebody slap me?
Did that help?
In all seriousness, it is so easy to get caught up in the mental limbo. Just remember you are pregnant right now.
It's funny, I'm usually a calculated person, but this is just one of those things where reason never seems to win and I get all superstitious.
You obviously made it to

I've been having a freakout pretty much every other day. My problem is those stupid ClearBlue with the weeks estimator, WHY WHY WHY am I still taking tests??? They are never dark enough (or say I'm 3+ weeks yet). I feel like after I take them I can convince myself I don't feel as nauseous as I did a few hours earlier. Miscarriages do a serious number on your mental health. I can't believe how CRAZY and STRESSED I feel all the time. You are totally not alone in feeling concerned and remember there is like a 95% chance it is all in your head. I have been having cramps fairly regularly, but I'm telling myself it is the uterus growing because I'm hoping there are two in there taking up a lot of space
I didn't have cramps with my miscarriage at 6w4d until i had been bleeding heavily for a day.

@Mrs Castillo you are a genius! I always forget to drink when I'm working at home. Big glass of water and they are already less painful.

seriously though, it's likely in your head. cramping is pretty normal early on (i cramped a lot with DS through much of the 1T). like PPer said, drink some water, that should help. put your feet up if you can. there's no such thing as "jinxing", so making your appointment has nothing to do with it.
i said somewhere before (can't remember where) that being capable of rational thought (and exercising that capability) doesn't necessarily preclude having irrational feelings/fears, so i totally get where you're coming from. i've had this stupid ritual where i've been wearing pantyliners every day as a sort of reverse psychology thing...if i wear them, i won't need them, and if i don't, i'll surely start bleeding, and of course today (my loss milestone, no less) after i got out of the shower i forgot to put one in, and when i realized it i nearly had a panic attack. totally stupid, but PgAL brain makes you do weird shit and freak out over nothing. you are not alone. (((hugs)))
