Two Under 2

Intro. 2U1!

Hello everyone! Just thought I'd write a short into because I know I'm going to be needing advice in the months to come. DH and I got married 8/11/12. DS was born 12/31/13 and is the light of our lives! He's such an amazing little guy. I love everything about being his mommy! :)  Well, surprise! Baby #2 is on the way and is due 12/16/14. I never got my PP period, which I was waiting for to get the IUD I had planned on. God had other ideas for us though! I'm working FT right now, but hope to go either PT or stay at home once this little one arrives. We're excited... scared shitless.. and pretty much just overwhelmed at this point. Any advice/words of wisdom you can give me would be greatly appreciated. We're going to have 2 babies both have their first Christmas together. Holy. Crap.

  • Congratulations! Mine are exactly a week shy of a year apart, and it is crazy, but fun too.

  • Congrats! First of all I would recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It is really helpful in understanding what your body is doing and then you can decide what to do with that information. Who knows, you might like 2u1 so much that you want 3u2! The main thing I wish I had done was ask for help from anyone who I thought I could ask, pay, or bribe to help during pregnancy and newborn days. I regret that I waited until my husband and I were totally exhausted to find ways to take breaks. Keep in mind though that I had chronic fatigue before ever having any kids. Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months and beyond!
    Married to E on June 5, 2010
Gave birth to baby boy, I, on March 25, 2012
Gave birth to baby girl, A, on May 20, 2013
    Baby #3 due April 29, 2015

Recovering from mitochondrial dysfunction and Addison's/possibly very severe adrenal burn out using food, medicine, and a large amount of garden therapy.
  • It's silly, but I keep picturing the pictures you can take with two babies in different sizes of matching first Christmas outfits. That's crazy but fun. My two are only 13 months apart, so we aren't far from Irish twins. I love it! In fact, we are ttc #3 for 3u3. My only nonspecific advice is to enjoy the ride. There will be insane moments, but the good outweighs the bad 10 to 1. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. Congrats! :)
    Mommy to N (3), J (2), and C (10 months). LO4 is due in mid-September.
  • @bookworm982 Thank you SO much!! Your comment actually made me feel so good about the whole situation. Everyday I get more excited about this crazy ride we're going to be on! :)
