NBR: Memorial Day Weekend Plans?

I know some of our J14 mamas will be busy taking care of their May babies, but what about the rest? Anyone doing anything special over the long weekend? Are you staying close to home "just in case" or going away somewhere? If you are still working, do you have Monday off and how are you spending it? Anyone else plan on nesting like a MF'er the whole weekend or is that just me?

My plans for this weekend are to NOT go into labor. I live in a big tourist area near the beach and this is usually a crazy busy weekend. My route to the hospital is guarenteed to be bumper to bumper traffic. Baby girl has my permission to come any time after Memorial Day weekend. As a backup, I'm hoping for a rainy weekend to keep everyone away!

We'll be finishing up baby preparations and enjoying some calm family time before things get crazy!

1) Don't go into labor
2) If I do go into labor, pick up a good oatmeal stout along the way for the hospital afterwards
3) If I don't go into labor, go get a pedicure while hubby steam cleans the carpets (he's nesting lol)

We are finally planting our garden, we have attempted several times but the snow and rain made it difficult. Also by we I mean DH, unless he gets me a mat to sit on and I just plant all the plants around where I sit. We are also putting up our decals in the nursery and then it will be complete! Other than that, we are doing nothing and it is going to be a glorious long weekend!

We have a friend coming in from out of town to visit and we are celebrating DH's birthday with his family. Other than that, I think we're going fishing….

And I need to clean my house

Spending the weekend in with DH, maybe having some friends over Monday for a mini BBQ, and hoping to not go into labor (I'll be 37 weeks on Saturday). Maybe go to Home Depot to get a wall shelf for the nursery and flowers for the garden.

I'm working 4 - 12 hour shifts managing four beer gardens at a giant festival. I'm hoping all the walking doesn't send me into labor. And I have my ECV scheduled tomorrow morning before work. I'm ready for Tuesday

I think my town has a parade on Monday, so we'll take C to that. Other things involve getting the house into shape and DH needs to mow the lawn.

We're setting up a tent in the backyard on Monday and playing nerd games and having sex. Just released from five months of pelvic rest yesterday...I'm ambitious.

The pool opens this weekend so I plan on waddling down there during the adults only evening hours and enjoying the weather. Also, talking DH into doing some deep cleaning and various other little "to-do's" that have been piling up. Mostly just relaxing and prepping.

The original plan was to be finishing up painting and finishing the nursery at our new place but I've not heard anything about it so putting it off for another 2 weeks or so probably (internal screams of frustration!)

Saturday - my parents just got a campsite and trailer about an hour from us on the ocean, so we are going to go check it out for the day. I'm not looking forward to it, but I'm sure DD will have fun.

Sunday - Finish cleaning up the nursery, washing stuff for baby, packing the hospital bag.

Monday - it's supposed to be 80+ degrees and gorgeous in Boston, so I'd like to take a little family trip to a zoo, the beach, or somewhere equally as fun. I'm looking forward to a LONG weekend!!!

weeding the gardens, repainting the deck (just he part that have scratches, cus pregnant), finishing 129393 loads of laundry, and if I'm up for it, repainting and trimming the back entryway of the house. My folks are going to try and make it out from NY if the flights aren't too full, and if I "happen" to go into labor, that would be incredibly convenient to have them there....just sayin!

I might be insane, but I plan on spending most of Saturday on my parents' boat, flounder fishing. It's opening weekend, and I have only missed opening day once since I learned how to fish, and that's because I had my daughter the day before. I'm not really sure how long I'll last (we normally fish from around 6am until 4pm with only a break to go back to the house and make lunch), but I have to try. Partly because it would be AWESOME to win the tournament 8 months pregnant :P But my dad better drive the boat ridiculously slow, no bumpy boat rides for this mama!

Sunday we're going to a barbecue and Monday I plan on doing nothing.

I work Saturday. BBQ at my sister's on Sunday. We will be doing laundry, making beds and cleaning bathrooms as well.

I will be 35 weeks on Sunday, so we are headed to the beach. It's my moms birthday and my sister is coming down also. It will be the last time we are all together before baby and my sister gets married!
We will only be an hour from charleston, so if anything were to happen, we have one of the best hospitals in South Carolina right there...at least that's what my husband keeps reminding me
