Maternity Occasion Wear

I will be attending a formal indoor/outdoor wedding in a couple of weeks. I'll be a little over 19 weeks along then and I'm already wearing maternity dresses for the extra room. I'm finding it near impossible to find beautiful maternity maxi summer-type occasion dresses. Is there any brands or designers you ladies would recommend? I've gotten some Olian dresses, which I like, but they're a little too casual. I've also seen the Tiffany Rose site, but I really don't want to pay $400-$500 for a dress I will only wear once. Looking for any recommendations or advice! Thanks, ladies!

i think this one from LOFT maternity looks pretty and under $100 but it's black... not sure how formal you need or if black would be appropriate. it may be too hot during the outdoor portion. good luck and let us know what you end up with!

Formal meaning black tie? I have to think a bit about black tie, but for few notches below black tie, the Lucy Versatie dress by Olian looks like it could be dressed up, and this one is nice if you are willing to go short:

It's more like black tie optional. Olian is definitely my fallback. Have you worn Seraphine dresses? How's the quality? I do most of my shopping online and have been disappointed with some brands.

I have seen Pink Blush but haven't ordered anything. Maybe I'll give them a try with something casual just to check the quality. I have not liked Debbi O., Ripe Maternity, Gypsy and a couple of other inexpensive brands that I can't remember. The ones I love so far are Olian and Rachel Pally.

I've looked at the ASOS site a few times, but haven't ordered anything. Has anyone purchased ASOS brand dresses? The prices seem too good to be true.

You could also try finding a non-maternity dress, one that has a higher/non definite waistline like empire style. Might be more options that way.

Try Khols (if you have one close or look online) they have some really cute dresses and some are on the dressier side while still bein rather cheap!

ASOS prices are either in pounds or euros so you need to convert the price.

I wore this to a black tie wedding when I was 16 weeks. It isn't maternity, but it is a true empire waist and it fit well. There is a lot of extra fabric in the front and it is stretchy. It isn't super formal, but if the wedding is black tie optional, I bet it would work.

I've ordered quite a bit from ASOS both regular and maternity - the quality varies, but I've generally been very happy with it for the price. In general, their casual dresses are lower quality (usually unlined), but the more expensive, special occasion dresses is of higher quality. ASOS also carries other maternity brands (New Look maternity, some Isabella Oliver (although it's more expensive than just shopping from the Isabella Oliver US site), etc.

I have two formal weddings this summer - so far I have one dress from Isabella Oliver that I am thrilled with.
