For the past 2 months or so, DS constantly has his fingers in his mouth if he's not actively playing with something. It's kind of driving me nuts. If he touches anything, it gets slobber on it, and there's always slobber on his face. When we came in from playing outside today, he shoved his filthy dirt-covered hand (we had been planting) right on in there. Blech! I see no signs of his 2 year molars (or any other teeth) coming in. I don't know whether to keep reminding him to get his hands out of his mouth or just to leave him alone about it and hope he grows out of it. FWIW we did away with pacifiers before Christmas, and the hands-in-mouth thing didn't start until late March or early April. Is this common for kids this age? Is there anything I can do, or should I just ignore it?
