gestational diabetes?

Anyone previously had GD who is now experiencing high sugars this early? Had betas drawn this week (all good betas!) And OB had me do a 1 hr glucose test, which I failed. I don't have a placenta yet so she thinks it's likely that I have regular non gestational diabetes now. Just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. Thanks!!

    Ps I'm 6 weeks today so really early, hence no placenta.

    Nope not since having my baby. Have had blood tested at least once if not twice for other things and it hasn't come up once! And to top it off I had recently lost 10-15 lbs! It's baffling.

    Most docs will test in first trimester if you had GDM in previous pregnancy. I'm sorry you got bad news today. :(

    Yup had it with my first....thanks, I'd rather know sooner than later so I'm glad they tested so early. And there are worse things to have to deal with in the big picture. I'm more worried that I'll have it forever now but I guess there's no use in worrying about that for the next 34 weeks!
