***Making A Home Monday***

How many TVs do you own? How many actually get used?

We have a 55" ridiculously big TV in our living room that we watch at night. I have watched a lot more TV with this neck injury.

We also have 4 other smaller TVs. One in each bedroom and one in the man cave. The only one that ever gets used of those is the one in DD's room and that is for an hour or less a day.

I do like to have the TV on for background noise and I'm afraid I've pasted that down to DD.

  • Two TVs. One 55 inch in living room gets used daily. The other in the bedroom gets used when I take a shower to distract DD or as background music while i do chores.

4 total in house. A 60 inch in living room that is used the most. A 32 inch in the den and my dad's room that are mostly used in the evening. And a 29 inch in DH and I's room that we only watch in bed at night. (Or every so often if DS wakes up at the butt crack of dawn. )

  • We have one in the living room, and that's it. When we first got married, we lived in an apartment that was so small that our bed didn't fit in the bedroom. So we had the TV and the bed in the same room. And I just didn't like having the TV on while we were going to bed and going to sleep. I would stay up later than I should have just because I wanted to watch TV. So we decided that we would be a one TV family and not have TVs in the bedrooms. We canceled our TV service a few months ago to save money, so now the only times we watch TV really is when we want to watch a specific show together and we have to connect your computer to it. Otherwise I usually watch stuff online on my laptop.

    1 tv.

as a kid our family only had 1 ever. and it staying in the living room. so i was used to not having one in my room. when i married DH he was shocked i didn't want to put one in our room. i guess i am of the opinion that my bedroom should be for sleeping and doing things OTHER than watching tv. and also tv doesn't help me unwind, so it would be a distraction in my room.

so we still just have 1 tv. it's 42" i think? gets used a LOT being the only one.

  • We have 4. One downstairs in the livingroom. DD has one in her room. DH and I have one in master. DH has 2 boys, that are never here :( and they have one in their room. Probably would have never had it that way to begin with, but we are a blended family with both of us bringing TVs into the marriage. All have cable hooked up, except for DHs boys room, cause they are never really here.

I'd say the livingroom one gets used really frequent. As well as the one in the master. The one in DD room, maybe a couple times a week, at most. DHs boys, pretty much never, unless they stay the night because DHs ex has taught them to fall asleep to TV.

We have one in the living room, one in the office/den, and one in our master. The den and living room TVs get used pretty equally. The one in our bedroom doesn't get used as often. We turn it on when the whole family wants to chill and watch a movie, or DH will watch sports while he folds laundry.
  • I let the TV babysit DS today, lol.  I had to bake a cake for an event and  I needed DS to be okay with me working in the kitchen.  He always gets really clingy if I'm really busy.  But today I put on Frozen and he was pretty happy to watch it and play while I baked.  The kitchen and family room are combined, so I was still in the room and was able to watch DS, but it was really nice not having him underfoot the whole morning.
