Don't know what to think

I had my first u/s this week. I am supposedly 8 weeks. My dr couldn't find anything on the u/s so he sent us to a diagnostic center. She did some more pictures and she thought she saw a tiny sac and said it was measuring more at 6 weeks. I did blood work too and now I have to sit and wait for the dr to call back. I also have had some bleeding and brown discharge. The dr did say he thought he saw a cyst but didn't say much else ab it. I was hoping for answers today but only got more questions. Prayers for my little jellybean are much appreciated. I just hope it's safe.

Update: dr called and said it appears they detected an early heartbeat and he thinks I'm earlier than originally thought. I go back in two weeks for another scan

Thoughts and prayers sent your way. Maybe you ovulated later than you think (did you temp) and you are actually 6 weeks, not 8. That's my situation. I am actually 4 weeks based on my day of ovulation, instead of 6 weeks based on my LMP because I don't ovulate on day 14-16.

We calculated based on my LMP (which was sort of a guess). We weren't really trying so I wasn't paying close attention. It's possible I guess but it does make me worry. I keep telling myself that they saw a heartbeat so it means there is life. I'm also worried ab the cyst but the dr didn't seem to be alarmed by it.

My doctors have said that any time you ovulate, you typically make a little cyst (which goes away on its own usually). So, that might be the cyst they saw and would explain why they aren't worried.

I've also been told that some babies just take a little extra time to get going (which could explain why measuring a little small). So fingers crossed!
