Chiropractor for headache relief?

I'm on my third day if a pretty vicious headache. Yesterday it felt like migraine but Tuesday and today it's been more of an all over headache. Most painful when I move which is typical of my migraines. My body is also really sore and achy especially my back. I've tried caffiene, lots of water, and Tylenol but nothing's helping. I'm EBF so my migraine prescription is not possible.
Just wondering if maybe it's a tension headache. I was thinking since I have a stuff neck maybe a chiropractor might help. Has anyone tried them for headache relief? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks @osajia‌ and @SailorTink‌. I think I might call the chiro today... It can't hurt right?
@SailorTink‌ I haven't found my trigger yet. I eat most if the trigger foods on a daily basis so I don't think it's any food. The only thing I've noticed is I tend to get them before it rains... Which it us doing today. I'm definately going to check out the book! Thanks!!!

On I completely different subject.... Why would an Ebook cost more than the paperback?! So frustrating!!!

  • I started getting really bad tension headaches after lo was born. I never get headaches and it was coupled with upper shoulder pain. I figured it was from being scrunched up while feeding her and carrying a toddler. I decided to try a chiro and it relieved my pain almost immediately. Hope you find some relief soon.

depends....is it just this one headache or do you have them a lot?

If its just this headache, a chiropractor alone might help.  If you have chronic headaches, you probably need to see a specialist.  I used a chiropractor for years not wanting to be on medication and I was still in migraine hell at least once a week, with headaches most other days.  Now I'm on a once-a-day low dose antidepressant that has given me my life back.

ETA: I still do go to a chiropractor when my neck gets tense though, but its not my sole course of treatment anymore.
@MarBee1214‌ I don't have them as chronically as once a week but I get at least 5 a year. Sometimes more. I went through a phase where I had them once a week. Then I went through a phase of getting ocular migraines (mostly without the pain) at least once a month for over a year. I have an imitrex prescription but I can't take it right now while EBF... And it knocks me out so I wouldn't feel safe taking it while I'm with DS. I never knew an antidepressant may help. Seems like it's time to go to the dr and figure it all out.

I don't get migraines, but I get regular headaches stemming from a neck injury I got from a car accident almost 2 years ago. I chiro, accupuncture & massage have been my course of treatment up until recently. Since I had DS2 & started nursing/pumping again, pain is coming back full throttle & now the chiro isn't enough. Massage offers temporary relief at most. Accupuncture isn't covered by my insurance so I stopped that.

I say it is worth a try. Everyone is different.
