  I burst into tears reading both of those articles.  So scary.

  
  

  We had a tornado yesterday.  While I was at work and it was sunny, my kid was in the sitter's basement in the middle of the storm.  All these things make me feel completely incapable of protecting my kids.  I know that I can't be everywhere all the time, but it doesn't mean that I don't wish I could.

  Now I'm sitting here bawling because the thought of that happening to my daughter is just unbearable.  I keep asking her for hugs and kisses, and she looks at my crying face like "Ok... weirdo."

  @PurpleHippo19, I blame pregnancy hormones. I was on a plane yesterday reading "The Fault in Our Stars" where the kid in the book has osteosarcoma and spent the first 60 minutes of the flight reading and crying. In front of complete strangers!

  I remember reading something like this a little while ago and all it really did was make me redonkulously paranoid.  Like, have anxiety during bath time, paranoid.  But it's still good to be aware.

  
  

  
  

  Re: The Fault in Our Stars, that book is incredible, but also a tear fest from start to finish, but especially the end.  That's a damn sob fest.  The trailers make me bawl and they don't even show some of the saddest parts.

  @Nicb13 and @raynes, it doesn't help that DH had osteosarcoma before we met (he is completely fine now) and I started thinking about how life would be if something happened to him. Cue the bawl-fest!
