Hello from another lurker!

With all the talk about welcoming us lurkers, I want to finally introduce myself in hopes you will have me! My little Penelope (we call her Penny) was born 10/8 and my life has never been better. She is such a little joy. I sort of feel like I robbed myself that I didn't do this 10 years ago! I'm old, 33, so you know, that's very possible! I'm a graphic designer, I'm not married although her dad and I are in a committed relationship and have a home together. I feel like there needs to be another word for what we are, boyfriend and girlfriend makes me feel like we are 16. Anyway, Penny is a very happy, smily baby, she LOVES to eat, loves to sit but doesn't try to crawl yet.

Thank you ladies for the year or so of advise, tips, laughs, and tears. I hope that I can contribute and be as helpful as some of you have been to me.

I could have written this! But I also think about where dh and I were 10 years ago and how much we've grown up since and I guess it's probably for the best.

You could always go with partner or significant other.

Welcome. I'm older than you at 36 and I think the same thing about having babies sooner, but I wasn't ready and I know I wouldn't have had the patience.

Another old one here. Turning 38 this Fall.

Definitely wasn't ready for kids when I was younger. Glad we waited. We've had a lot happen in the last 14 years that would've been a lot harder if kids were involve.

I'm getting up there too...I'll be 32 a month from tomorrow... But I just wasn't ready for a baby any sooner. Glad it all happened the way it did.
