Postpartum survival basket

I'm putting together a basket for my cousin and I need to some ideas. My sister and I are the closest that she has to sisters, she's the first out of all her friends to have a baby, and my aunt isn't the type to tell her what she needs for the first few weeks. I know this has been asked before, but for the life of me I couldn't find it in previous threads. What could you not live without those first few weeks? Thanks ladies

Re: Postpartum survival basket

  • For me it was food. It was nice to have snacks and pre-made meals on hand that I could warm up. Going to the grocery store was tough and cooking was impossible. I also think colace and nipple cream (if she is BF) would be great to have on hand.

  • Snacks, like trail mix. Big 'ol water bottle (something you can work one handed)

  • I did one of these for a dear friend as well, and along with the items mentioned, I bought her some inexpensive granny panties for those first few weeks along with a variety of sanitary pads.  I know I didn't want my good undies getting ruined!
