Parenting Mistake...what's yours?

So, DD has been sleeping decently well for the first time in her life. She had a great night Sunday, so what does my dumbass decide to do yesterday? Oh, that's right, convert her crib into a daybed.

She hates it and fought me for 1.5 hours last night before sleeping in it. We woke up and checked the monitor...bed EMPTY. Freaked out, ran in there, she was asleep on the floor.

Sigh.

What have you done recently that was a bad choice?

I let DD stay up and watch Spongebob instead of story time yesterday. She took a full 45 minutes to fall asleep. Not doing that again..

Letting her play in my makeup.

Now she WILL NOT leave my makeup alone. She bit one of my lipsticks in half!

I decided to change LO into a convertible car seat, then take a long road trip without testing it around town first. I paid for that choice, dearly. She was sooooo upset.

I have so many parenting fails. where to start? she is addicted to my makeup. I made the mistake of letting her use my hair dryer yesterday and I haven't heard her ask for anything else since. probably the cutest/most annoying thing is we taught her how to use google voice on our phones. 6,000x a day we hear "lets ask google. ok google, how does a house fall? ok google, are fairies in real life? ok google, does santa believe in science?"

OH. MY. GOD. I could have written this same thing about Siri on my iPhone. It's so, so, so cute but so frustrating because sometimes I just want my phone back. LOL

...also stopped being funny when I heard her ask Siri why some parents get divorced.

That is too cute.

I have to hide my phone from DS because he loves playing games on it so much. Most of the time he will just dials number and pretend he's talking to someone.

Letting him eat some meals on the couch and watch TV. Just was easy when I got home and was trying to get dinner ready and he was too hungry to wait. Terrible habit that is really tough to break.

Opened up the Video Game door! He goes in spurts with it but he becomes zombie-like and it's very hard to get him away from them!
