N14: any VBAC or HBAC moms?

I will find out later this afternoon at my midwifery appointment if I got my ob sign off to have an HBAC! *fingers crossed*!!!

Anyone else planning a VBAC/ HBAC?

I am definitely planning a VBAC. (And secretly hoping for a surprise HBAC.... When my MW comes to the house while I am in labour I want her to say 'Oooh! No time to go to the hospital! You are having your baby right here and right now!') :::Sigh::: A girl can dream....

The hospital that I am delivering at is very VBAC friendly, though. In fact, it is assumed that moms with previous Cs will be trying for a VBAC. So I am hopeful. I just hope the baby cooperates. My daughter was so wrapped up in her cord, there was no way she was coming out the old fashioned way.

@moroccojade‌ I hope you get your VBAC and your "unplanned" HBAC too! That's great that you have such a VBAC friendly hospital- the hospital/ ob that I used with my daughter is not that way-- the hospital has the highest csec rate in our very large city (30 something %).

I'm hoping for a VBAC as well

it's crazy how the first time I was so afraid of a vaginal birth (not why I had a csection though) and now I'm all gung-ho for one! I felt deprived of the birthing experience and the hormones that come with it. I hope we all get what we want

Another VBAC here! Midwives are illegal here, so no chance at a HB unless it's unattended. I've got an awesome OB and doula on my side this time though

I'm hoping for a HBAC with a midwife! I have to make it through two more check points in my pregnancy and still be considered low risk, but all is good so far! I had originally hoped to be in a hospital, but there isn't one around me that is VBAC friendly. One OB I saw noticed my Csection scar was keyloided (sp?) and told me he would clean that up during my next Csection. He never even asked or gave me a chance to say what I wanted. I never saw him again!

What???? That is INSANE. I don't know about where you live but here in canada they are very trained medical professionals. Just like a nurse.

I was just going to say the same thing! How is it possible that midwives are illegal anywhere in this day and age? Boggles my mind.

I'm also hoping for a VBAC. My midwives say I have a really good shot at it since the only reason I had to have a section the first time was because DS was breech, not due to any medical complications or emergencies or anything. Fingers crossed for everyone!

I would like to try for a VBAC, but I want to wait it out and see if this baby cooperates or not. I don't want to get my hopes up one way or the other.
