Spring Storms

Ugh. We are hunkered down in the basement right now. There is a storm cell with a funnel cloud basically right above my house, and 1" hail. I had to wake up both kiddos to go to the basement. @Avswolf, hope you guys are alright, too!!

@beachbumm2214, yeah, we are. Watching the news down in the basement and they are mentioning all of the streets that surround our neighborhood, so that's never fun

Luckily I've calmed DS down and he is playing with his kitchen now. He was shaking when I woke him up because he was so scared from the noise from the hail.

@Avswolf, hope they are okay! Ugh, I love a good rain storm, maybe even a little thunder, but once the sirens start, just ugh.

Stay safe! They were testing the sirens where I live the other day. It was cloudy and I freaked out initially until I realized it was just testing. So scary!

Thanks ladies! It has moved onto the plains now, so hopefully it is not too bad for them. They are talking about a repeat for tomorrow though.

@lbalek2‌ , we live near Southlands which is where the funnel was spotted. If you remember the Southlands tornado in 2009, we lived right across the street from the mall that time. I saw the tornado form as we were unloading things from our car. We had to go to the apt office and hide under desks as the tornado went right over our complex! @Avswolf, 225 and Parker seems like it was right in the middle of it all. Glad it wasn't worse and not looking forward to tomorrow afternoon.

I was working at the Office Depot when the 2009 tornado ripped the roof off. Not fun. Glad everything turned out ok today. Hopefully things don't get too wild tomorrow.

It has secondly moved further east and away from us now, thanks @SgrRay929‌! My mom is just about 10 minutes north west of me and actually saw one of the tornadoes from her front door (there have been 5 spotted so far! )
