Romance readers

I know there are several of us on this board that read romance novels.  I have always thought about writing my own book and have finally started it. Between working and my kid I have managed to get about 35% written so far.

I was wondering if 1 or 2 of you would be willing to read what I have some far and answer some questions for me.  The goal is for me to get some honest, unbiased opinions on text/storyline/characters.  I know it may be hard since it is not finished but it will help make sure I am on track and avoid huge changes later on.

I am trying to walk between historical fiction and a harlequin type romance novel but not the sexy erotica type, sorry ladies.  I am looking for people who read this type of book (historical romances) and will be able to compare it with other similar works.

    Yay! Thank you so much for volunteering! My H is also planning to read it but he has not read an actual book in years plus he might be as honest as I need.

    If I wasn't in the middle of 3 books I would volunteer! Let me know if you want any input later in the summer! PS how excited are you for Aug 9!!??

    @britbratjf I know! I am so excited. Did you see the most recent trailer (I think it is called Claire missing)? It is amazing and I keep watching it. I made my H get Starz already so that there would be no delay/issue on missing the first episode.
