You don't mess with the prego

Alright so... as I was outside this morning I heard a crackling sound and looked up to see the power lines that run through our backyard smoking. They run though a bunch of our neighbors trees and thats where it was smoking. It would stop and then start again off and on. I called com ed and they said theyd be out within a couple of days. Um no. I called the fire department.
They came out, looked at it and then they called com ed to come out. Fire department left. Com ed came out. Com ed looked at it and said they'd "try to get to it by the end of the day but they are busy from the storm last night". They said to keep an eye on it and if anything catches fire for real to call 9-1-1. ...MY POWER LINES ARE SMOKING NEXT TO MY HOUSE AND YOU TELL ME YOU'RE BUSY??
...so now I have gone around to my five neighbors and asked them all to call com ed and report the sparking and smoking. Hopefully they will get sick of all of us calling. But seriously. You expect me to just sit at my window all day and stare at the power lines???

    Hopefully they are able to get a crew out there as soon as possible. I've been in that situation and it's honestly extremely nerve racking. However, you did say there was a storm, the electric company may have areas that are in a lot more danger.

    They finally got here and all is well. Just a very nerve racking few hours of me sitting in front of my window saying "Please don't catch my house on fire, PLEASE don't catch my house on fire". But all is well now :)
