Just curious if anyone has been successful in breast feeding after having a breast reduction. I had one when I was 19 and hoped to be able breast feed. Hoping for some positive experiences. TIA
i don't have the exact same situation but my left breast was burned when i was 17 along with 30% of my body so i have a skin grafted left breast and they told me there is no telling whether i will or will not be able to breast feed until baby is born.
I have 2 girlfriends who both had breast reductions and they both breastfed their children, One even bf for over a year and a half. I think it will all be dependent on your body. Everyone is different. I bf my first daughter fine with no problems right from the get go, DD2 I only lasted a month, DD3 was fine but only lasted 6 months.
