Can I help you with that?

Hey ladies! Firstly, as I haven't been on in a couple weeks (and I'm going thru bump withdrawal and missing you ladies) I hope everyone is doing well!!!

Okay - so most of the time I get so annoyed/pissed at people and how they approach/treat we mama-to-bes. Well, I was at the post office for work today with two boxes full of mail to go out. Not too heavy, but I definitely didn't feel like carrying them into the place and then sorting them local/non local. Well, a very nice post office gentlemen rushed out to me - I didn't get 4 steps from my car - "Can I help you mam? Would you like me to bring those in for you?" Of course! Awesome! Thank you so much!! And then he congratulated me :)

Any other ladies experience kindness from a stranger lately that re-instilled your faith in humanity?

  • Complete opposite for me, but that's probably where I live. Yesterday I stopped at the gas station and had to bring ds in because it was so hot, so I'm trying to juggle a 14 month old on my hip, two drinks, snack, wallet... not one person offered help. Even worse, some stupid jerk off teen skidded into the parking space next to me so close that I couldn't fit between the cars to put E back in his seat. He looked directly at me, got out of his car laughing and pointing at me, AND WALKED AWAY.

I had to wait for him to go inside, get his shit, and leave before I could get in. And it was so hot!!!

I would have totally smashed this shit out of his car with my door. I remember when I was less than a week due with dd one of those humongous Lexus SUV parked next to my tiny jetta in a compact parking spot. I had to get back to work since I was on my lunch break so I ended up denting the side of their car with my door. I was tempted to leave a bitchy note saying hope the like the dent and learn what compact means.

  • The other day I was in the grocery store check out line trying to bag all of my groceries, and two teenage guys ahead of me offered to do it for me, and take it all out to my car! I was shocked but happy lol there are a few perks to being pregnant :P
  • People around my area are generally pretty nice. As far as teenagers go, I was in the maternity section on Target last week and two teenage boys walked by and were talking about how gross pregnant women were and how they shouldn't be allowed to leave the house after the first couple of months. I almost let them have it.
  • my DH mention that to me in our trip last month, the flight attended in our flight were really nice, and he was like, everyone is nicer to you now that you are pregnant... a mean I can sense the jealousy on his words hahaha
  • I wish I could say I was being helped, when I work at the grocery store customers put their really heavy items on the belt even though I'm obviously pregnant and then give me attitude when I ask them to put it in the cart. Getting a bagger boy to help me with lifting is also like pulling teeth
