Re: Duggar Talk

  • I think if they want more adoption would be a better option. They have 19 children, 3 grand children and a bunch of their kids are about to get married. I think it would be devastating to all of them if the mom were to die because of complications with another pregnancy.

I agree @AKB090609. I don't understand how in the article they state if God were to give them another child but to me getting fertility treatments involved is kind of taking God out of the equation. At least the way I understand their reasoning.

47 isn't necessarily too old to have a child but with her past history I kind of feel like enough is enough.

  • Just popping in to say that I like the Duggars. I think they can have as many kids as they want and visit as many specialists they want for any reason. I just hope that if she does conceive another child, it doesn't kill her.

  • My opinion has nothing to do with god or her health or beliefs. She and the baby both nearly died last time she had a live birth and I believe she had a late loss after that baby. I think that the risks are just too big.

I agree that it's dangerous. But since they don't believe in intervention, they can't and wont' just say "ok, tie my tubes, we're done here." They feel convicted by God to give them all the babies they can make.
Totally get that, I just hope that if they decide they want more children they will focus on other ways of growing their family. I can't really see any doctor prescribing her fertility meds nor can I see her taking them. I think the whole thing just makes me nervous.

After reading the articles, I don't think she's looking for fertility meds. I think she just kind of wants to check if getting pregnant could even happen.

    I think you are correct.

I watched last night. They were inquiring about the possibilities of her getting pregnant or possibly being in menopause. I personally don't think I would want to keep trying after a 25 week micro premie and 18 week loss. Then again I also don't want to be pregnant 20+ times. Yikes.

Did anyone who watched last night notice the Enfagrow product placement? I thought I read they didn't take money for the show... Maybe not?

I am almost certain they get paid for the show.  From the network and likely the sponsors as well. They are definitely financially savvy.
Yeah, one of their books references getting paid for the show.

@danabsd, I did see that. It was the first time I've noticed them doing that.

  • I wonder if they were going to find out where she was in her possibility of getting pregnant to 1) decide to move forwad with adoption if thats where they want to go and / or 2) be a bit more careful around "that time of the month" to try and prevent pregnancy naturally as she has had so many risks / complications I cna see them saying - we will take what God blesses us with - but we want to make it clear this needs to come from God - not from us

I'm watching the finale now and I'm laughing so hard at big brother Josh talking to Jessa's BF. "So you think my sister likes you?" Really? Awesome question bro. LOL

And the fertility visit was to see where she is hormonally. Is that a word? It seemed like she wanted to find out if it would be safe for her to get pregnant. No biggie.
