I'm kinda freaking out...

So I never had to find a sitter for DS1, my retired mother watched him after my year long mat leave. Well now that there are two of them mom is having a hard time with them both so she suggested I find a sitter and use her as back up.

So the search has been hard but I think I may have found someone. But I'm totally freaking about leaving my boys with a stranger ( I'm going to meet this woman next week to see if I think she'll beat my kids or anything)! DS1 has a speech disorder and at 3 his talking is not great, getting better with help but not a typical three year old. DS2 is my easy going guy but he'll be so little still (and I know 1 isn't young in comparison to what some of you have to do leaving your 6 week olds!!). Thankfully it's only like 12 days a month cause DH works shift work.

Tl;dr: I'm bawling about having not family watch my boys and need some hugs! It's gonna be ok right?!!?!

    Don't stress.  If you like her, give her a shot.  You can always change sitters if she does not work out.  We don't live near any family and so my kids have therefore always been watched by non-family, and it has been fine.  We took them to an in-home daycare that was amazing.  

    It will be fine!

    Carson Henry, born 39w, 2d, via emergency c/s due to no fetal movement and fetal distress.  Seizures, IVH grade 2, brain injury, kidney and liver damage.  Complete blood clot in the artery in his right arm.  27 days in the NICU.  Now discharged from all specialists, excepts his kidney doctor, who will monitor him indefinitely.  My tough little cookie.

    Having one more person in their lives who love them and care for them cannot be a bad thing. Hopefully this sitter will work out and your kids will grow to think of her (him?) as their special friend. And when they do get to see your mom, it'll be a special treat and will be on their best behaviors! Win. GL mama
