Migraines?

I don't remember my migraines starting this early with DS. I have a new OB this time around and I don't see him until next week. My last OB said that it was ok to take percoset. I'm on it because my joints dislocate and I need something for the pain. Usually with the migraines, I take fioricet, but I don't know if that's safe. I'm thinking tylenol and a cup of coffee might be the only safe route. What are you taking for migraines?

Re: Migraines?

  • This is something that should really be discussed/advised by your OB and neurologist. I wouldn't take advice from anyone else as to what they are doing.

  • I would talk to your OB. Mine was able to prescribe some things that gave me some relief and was safe last time. What's odd though with DS1 my migraines disappeared during the pregnancy and with DS2 I only had them in the 3rd trimester. I've haven't had any relief this time so I'll probably bring it up at my next appointment (next week).

  • I'm hoping to skip having to take any meds. I really would rather try some alternative approaches, but I don't know of any. I'll be checking with the OB next week, but he will probably be another pill-pusher.

  • Although for the record, I suffer from chronic migraines, but it seems to have gone into remission with the pregnancy. My SIL had the same experience.
