When DH and I decided to TTC back in 2010 I had been on the Pill continuously for about 7 years. After I stopped taking my birth control, I had one short, light period the month following my final period on the pill. I did not get my period for 4 months after that and had to take Provera to induce it. At that time I was diagnosed with PCOS and was referred to an RE who helped us achieve pregnancy with DS via Clomid, hcg shot, and IUI. I started back on the pill almost immediately after DS was born.
We are currently trying to have another baby. I stopped taking the pill in March after finishing the pack. I got my period from that and now seem to have the same "residual" light, short period that I had the first time around after stopping the birth control.
My question is...should I continue to wait to see if I get a natural period and hope than my hormones have corrected themselves, or call my gynecologist, or make an appointment with the RE (or call them and see what they suggest first?) given the history?
If anyone has been in a similar situation where treatment was necessary to conceive #1, what did you do when you started trying for #2?
(Sorry this is long)
