any advice? She rips them off immediately. She looks like such a bum when she is dressed all cute with no shoes or socks. Also, she is close to walking and will definitely need shoes then.
DS won't either. I have lots of different shoes for him, all pointless. He still crawls, so it is not a big deal. Once he walks, I hope he sees the benefit.
dd is the same way. the only thing we can get on her are robeez (which in my opinion are so not cute). everytime i try putting any normal shoes on her she has a stage 5 meltdown. =(
The only shoes DD would keep on her feet were Robeez (actually they were the Target version of Robeez). She had a cute pair that looked like sneakers (they have little laces). I liked them cause (she kept them on) and they didn't look as slipperish.
When she was walking better we got her fitted at Stride Right and bought sneakers. She loves to wear shoes now and asks to put them on as soon as she gets up. I honestly thought she would be barefoot at 15 cause she refused to wear shoes or socks for so long.
DS always ripped off any shoes I had on him before he was walking. Once he was walking I took him to Stride Rite so he could get fitted. He had so much fun in the shoe store and liked getting his own shoes. Now, if I put them on him to ride in the car, he will take them off. So I just wait until we get to our destination and put the shoes and socks on then. He will still sometimes take them off while at the destination (like when riding in the grocery cart), but then he just takes the shoe and chews on it. Yes, that is nasty, but sometimes it is the only way to avoid a major meltdown in the grocery store.
Re: My 14 month old won't wear shoes or socks...
Shoes with laces ;-)
Although, honestly, I wouldn't worry about it until she is walking. Bare feet are best anyway.

If you really want to wear something , what about robeez or bobux?
They were the only that would stay on DD's feet during the winter.
