Re: Ten Things Tuesday!
1. I am going to try to get ten things in before leaving for work in 10 mins.
2. The poison ivy on my upper thigh is awful all my clothes irritate it so it is so swollen. Gives me a little more junk in the trunk at least.
3. Looked at my phone today and AF is coming sooner then I reported in the TTC thread. It should be here on Thursday which means I will be back at the game of constant TWW soon. Whether waiting for AF or waiting to inseminate or waiting to test.
4. I am excited to start trying again I really hope I have the same success I did when I conceived Brynlee.
5. Lots to do tomorrow. I am working on painting what will eventually be the our bedroom. Then we need to go pick out furniture and carpet.
6. We are upgrading to a king size bed in the bedroom once it is finished!!
8. Watching the news about this beef recall and right now I am glad I don't eat meat because MA is one of the states involved.
9. The dogs are starting to bark in the back yard I need to let them in before our new neighbors hate us.
10. Finished this is 5 mins so I still have 5 more mins before I need to leave for work.
HAPPY TUESDAY!!!!

2. So I have decided that I think I am one of those people who experience a long, slow descent into labor. I think what I am experiencing now fits the bill of pre-labor. It has been a couple of days, but since last night I would say there is definitely something going on. I have been having cramps that feel like menstrual cramps off and on since last week, but now they are pretty regular and sometimes strong and on both sides (just on the left yesterday). I also had a TON of Braxton Hicks last night to the point where I was wondering if they weren’t BH and perhaps early “real deal” contractions. They didn’t hurt per se, but were uncomfy and my belly got rock hard and jutted way out in front of me. They came consistently about once every 10 minutes last night for about 2 hours while I was sitting on the couch. This is what made me think they weren’t BH since they were pretty regular. They were accompanied with back pain, and I had to keep getting up and walking around for a few minutes and then coming back to the couch because I couldn’t get/stay comfortable how I was sitting. Anyway, today I am feeling a lot of the same, but right now I am also feeling short of breath and lots of strong movement up under my ribs. I am wondering if baby is trying to flip AGAIN. It is possible… this child…
3. My wife is coming with me to my OB appointment tomorrow, and I am glad. She had been able to make it to every appointment until 35 weeks, but when I started going weekly, she wasn’t able to get away from work as often. I will be anxious to see what tomorrow’s cervical check shows. I am hoping that I am a little dilated. I just want everything that I am feeling to mean something. Otherwise, I know I could feel like this for weeks. Which is really not a happy thought at this point…
4. My wife packed her hospital bag last night. Mine has been packed for a while, but she is a procrastinator. I think last night’s activities with the BH or whatever they were, etc. turned out to be her wake-up call. She keeps texting me today asking how I am feeling and if anything is new/different. I think it is safe to say that she is now on high alert HAHA. I have tried to tell her that she might have to be on high alert for weeks so she shouldn’t get too excited. I am not-so-secretly hoping though that baby comes early. I would be more than happy to ride things out to 40 weeks if I felt functional, but I am super uncomfy and it feels like baby girl is trying to get the party started in there, so I am ready. If she wants out, I am happy to oblige at this point.
5. My father-in-law just texted out of the blue to see how I was feeling and if there was any news yet HAHA… does everyone have a feeling about today or something and I just didn’t get the memo?
6. I cooked last night, and I was super proud of myself because I really didn’t want to. Baked salmon, roasted asparagus and sautéed cauliflower. I plan to coast on that achievement for a couple of days before cooking again HA!
7. So, a Judge is supposed to announce his ruling today on the marriage equality law suits pending in Pennsylvania. Not sure what to expect… It would be super awesome though if PA recognized our marriage before baby arrives. Fingers crossed!
8. I am really enjoying reading the parenting check-in lately and envisioning the near future when I will be starting to check-in there also. I feel a little but like a stalker because I read about everyone’s parenting experiences but obviously don’t comment. I do feel like I have learned a lot over the last couple of months from that check-in though. I am so glad someone started that up (I forget who did)!
9. So I know I mentioned possibly *finally* posting nursery pics for my PIP this Thursday, but I just realized that we have baby’s name on the wall (wooden letters), and I would like to wait to announce her name when she arrives, soooooo I am going to hold off on the nursery pics until after she is here. I will say I do think the nursery is pretty darn cute (complete kudos to my wife for that – I wasn’t involved at all), so I am excited to post pics eventually
10. I am contemplating trying to arrange for Friday to be my last day in the office, and that if baby still isn’t here, I will start working from home next week until she arrives. Not sure I can swing that, or that I should even try to… but coming to work daily at this point is really starting to be difficult and really not that productive because I am so darn uncomfortable. Hmmm… I will have to give this some more thought.

We still need to figure out if its feasible, and location, etc... We have both worked in childcare for many years and I think we could be really good at it. I hope it is feasible.
3: Today is beautiful!
4: I want more parent/LGBT friends IRL. I think J and I will have to branch out when we get back to the NW
5: We are RVing back home and I think it will be fun but also stressful.
6: I'm excited for my girls to meet my dad for the first time when we get back!
7: I was wait listed for Med school this year so I'm most likely looking at another year of applying. Not fun.
8: I'm LOVING cloth diapering the babies so far! We even take the diapers to the laundromat and it still saves us money and I love it! Sad to use but disposables on our trip but we have a bunch gifted we have to use anyways
9: One more week of work before the longest vacation I've had in about a decade. SOOOO excited to be able to spend a good chunk of summer at home with my daughters!!!!
10: I made a coordinating dress/romper set for the girls, and am happy with how it turned out, PIP below
2. Maternity underwear is the bomb. I mocked it before I knew how awesome it is. It's the perfect balance between good butt coverage and not angering the belly by climbing up over it and restricting.
3. We have our first appointment with the MFM/Twin Specialist next week. I'm very relieved to have the appointment booked so we can get some questions answered around prophylactic progesterone (to prevent pt labour), booking the fetal echo, and getting a few other things squared away that aren't in the MW's scope of care.
4. I'm sending in the notice to my work's campus daycare today that we are interested in being put on the wait list for --- MARCH 2016 --- Yup, that's how intense it is up here. We also need to apply for a subsidy for our family and submit our applications to a couple of other daycares for potential infant spots.
5. My co-worker just burped super loudly in his office. My overactive gag reflex is freaking out. Gross.
6. Now my coworker is singing in his office. I suspect he doesn't know I'm in here.
7. I got my yearly cost-of-living/union mandated raise today. That was a bit of a nice surprise.
8. It's our Monthaversary today! H. and I met exactly 39 months ago!
9. My boobs are doing interesting things, and have begun to produce some sort of fluid. I can't help myself from gently checking it out on a daily basis. Trying hard not to cause permanent damage from my own curiosity (see example: chicken pox scars).
10. It would appear that my Noon appointment isn't showing up. Hurray, an extra half hour or so to organize my office before 1st lunch!
queer couple - 32 (me) & 33 (my love) years old - donor sperm,
Our IF/TTC journey since Nov 2012.

Normal AMH & FSH, AFC ~27, blocked tube dx'd via HSG in 2012. Hydrosalpinx & ovarian cyst dx'd in May 2013.
dx of Stage IV Endo & bilateral salpinectomy in June 2013.
Partner IVF#1a- December 2013 - H's eggs, my Ute - CANCELLED due to low response
Partner IVF #1b - February 2014 - H's eggs, my Ute - ER February 4 (10 retrieved, 3 fertilized), Transfer Feb 7 of one Grade 1 and one Grade 2 day 3 embryos. 1 - Day 3, Grade 1 frosty saved. BFP - 6dp3dt via FRER, Beta #1 - 110, Beta #2 175, Beta #3 - 348, Beta #4 - 2222!, Beta #5 - 4255. Ultrasound (6w1d) - 2 heartbearts!
We lost our beautiful Twin baby girls on June 18, 2014. Tavin Sara and Casey Elizabeth were born at 21 weeks gestation and were absolutely beautiful, precious, amazing babies. We miss our daughters every day and love them with all our hearts.
2. I finally set up a therapy appointment. I couldn't get in until June 9th, but I figured that would be fine since we won't be actively starting IVF until sometime after that.
3. I spend some time over on the 3T board and have been lurking on the IF board as well. It is a reminder that IVF does not work for everyone the first time. I'm a bit nervous about this. If things go as I am planning, we will have two fresh cycles available, plus FETs, with the money we spend. As time passes, I realize that we have focused so much on just trying to get pregnant. Then there is the goal of having a healthy and full term pregnancy. That is looming in the back of my mind. Does the anxiety ever go away?
4. Is it Wednesday yet??? I just want to get to our consult so that hopefully I will get a better idea of how things will go. Hopefully some of my anxiety will be eased. This is all that I can think about. The last year of my life has been consumed with baby making. Memorial Day of last year was when I finally felt ready to get started. It all seems surreal...everything that has happened in the past year.
5. C quit smoking as a birthday present to me. She has been smoke free for almost a month now. I'm so glad she quit and I hope she can stick with it. She wasn't smoking when we started dating, so I was very vocal about my opinion of it when she started again.
6. When I first really started participating on this board, I was worried that I would get a BFP right away and that others who had been here a while would be upset by the ease at which I had gotten pregnant. Hahaha....now I'm a TTC veteran I would say.
7. @herbabymama - I read your post in the Parenting Check In and I was so angry for you! I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with this. It seems like maybe your boss is taking out her inability to have children on you, and that is not fair. I hope that some resolution comes soon for you.
8. @ATXmommas - Congrats on the promotion!!
9. I just want to go home, get comfy, eat and spend hours mindlessly searching the internet. Work just gets in the way of everything
10. On Sunday we rode to the Kinzua Bridge State Park. Here are some pics below. The bridge was an old railroad bridge. In 2003 a F-1 tornado went through and destroyed 11 of the 20 supports. They rebuilt what was standing so that you can walk out on it. It is crazy

Dec' 26, 2013 - hb!!
EDD 8/20/14 with a baby girl!
Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle
2. Today is the first day of my period! It is cycle day 52. I have no idea when the last time I had a cycle that long was. I think IVF really made my cycle wonky. I'm excited about the arrival of my period because I'm planning to start my ortho 35 (high dose BCPs) and domperidone for my induced lactation protocol on day 3 of my cycle.
3. I just ordered our two small sets of wall decals for the babies' room from etsy. One is a set of jungle animals and a tree, all in different colors. The other is a small set of forest animals in turquoise that we may put on the change table drawers or the dresser drawers or the walls. They have to be shipped to my parents' house, though, because one of the sellers only ships to the U.S., so it will be a while before they arrive there and then get shipped up to me.
4. I've got an academic conference about 1.5-2 hours from Toronto coming up. I'm presenting on Sunday and then next Friday. I was planning to go Saturday night through Tuesday night and then Thursday morning through Friday evening, but as @Manada mentioned we just got our twins specialist OB/MFM appointment for Tuesday, so now I'm going to come back Monday.
5. We re-arranged the "sun room" in our apartment as a part of our preparations for babies. It used to be my office and where the dog's crate was. Dog has graduated herself from the crate (which is great because we were going to do it), so now we've been able to rearrange the room so that it can still be my office, but can also have our day bed and thus serve as a guest bedroom. We took apart the daybed yesterday and moved it into the room and it looks really good where it is. I will work on cleaning up all my office stuff so we can PIP it.
6. I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow! I haven't gotten a professional hair cut since probably November. I've had M cut my hair the last two times to save money and time. She's done a good job but I think now it's time to let a professional have a shot at it.
7. I've been working on acquiring work appropriate clothes in prep for my job starting in July. It's been hard because women's pants are almost always too short for me (thank goodness for capris!) and men's clothes that come close to fitting in the waist/hips are huge in the legs/shoulders/etc. Also, I'm currently at a size where I can't get men's clothes in regular stores that are big enough and tall enough for me. Apparently men are allowed to be thin and tall or short and fat but not tall and fat. Argh.
8. We are 16w6d today. At our MFM/OB appointment next week we'll be 17w6d, which is basically 18w. That seems really close to 20 weeks! Time is flying!
9. One of the best things about the day bed being in my office is that we're leaving the trundle bed in the future babies' room so that we can have a comfy place to nurse. That means there is a large amount of storage available under the day bed now. A lot of our baby stuff that we won't need to have out until after the babies come is now under that bed instead of crowding the babies' room.
10. We broke internet free day yesterday long enough to look up a Thai food menu online becuase for some reason we didn't have any paper ones in the house. I really love Thai food.
We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.
Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.
Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response
IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.
BFP eve of 6dp3dt; Beta 1 (11dp3dt): 110; Beta 2 (13dp3dt): 175; Beta 3 (15dp3dt): 348; Beta 4 (19dp3dt): 2222; Beta 5 (21dp3dt): 4255
1st ultrasound (3/6 6w 1d): TWINS!!!! Twin A measuring 6w1d with a heartbeat of 118bpm. Twin B measuring 6w0d with a heartbeat of 113bpm.
***July 18, 2014 we lost our beautiful babies at 21 weeks gestation. They were born too early. Tavin Sara T. and Casey Elizabeth T. are beautiful and precious and we will love them and miss them forever.***
FET #1 December 2014
2. I feel like we could have a crawler on our hands any day now. He has started to army crawl and is practicing getting on his hands and knees.
3. I'm excited for my trip to Chicago next week. My mom is meeting Ash and me up there. They will have some good bonding time while I work on Wed and Thursday. All three of us will get to play on Fri and Sat.
4. This weekend we're headed to Houston for a good friend's baby shower. She and her husband tried for years to get pregnant. We're so happy for them. This will be our first road trip with baby. Only 3 hours, so good way to test the water.
5. @kh826 - you sound a lot like I did at the end of my pregnancy, so I hear ya! One way or another you will be meeting your daughter in weeks! So exciting! Look forward to you joining the parenting check-in! Oh, and def work at home if you can! I think being as relaxed as possible helps your body go into labor (my non-medical opinion!) if that's the route your lil squirm worm ends up taking.
6. @StacyLH24 - thank you! I'm excited for you and C to move forward with IVF. Everything is crossed for you.
7. I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of cable and subscribing to Hulu instead. Our internet and cable are bundled, and our bill just went from $140 to $170/month. So irritated. I need to call, but keep forgetting. Anybody do this? One drawback is that I do like to watch football in the fall...
8. I've been NIP since Ash was about 6 weeks. I'll do it anywhere, but I almost always use a cover. He's getting bigger and squirmier and the weather is getting hotter, so I'm thinking I'm going to want to ditch the cover in some situations. Anybody have experience with NIP without a cover?
9. Our backyard makeover has been on pause for a week or two and we'll be out of town the next two weekends... So looks like we'll be continuing into June with our plans. Better late than never!
10. I've been obsessed with looking at houses in preparation for selling/buying next year and am a bit depressed about the options in our budget. Blah.
2. Cereal is still on my list of Best Things Ever. I am eating Special K with Red Berries right now, with cold, cold milk.
3. I had a dental cleaning this morning and yikes! My mouth was sore. They said my gums were a little inflamed, nothing too serious by pregnancy standards, but they definitely bled more than usual. On the other hand the dentist and hygienist were super excited for us, so that was nice.
4. Finding someone to do the painting and wallpapering in the nursery is proving harder than we thought -- one person doesn't return calls, the next doesn't do wallpaper, the third is booked until after my EDD...ugh. It's not a lot of work but I just want it done so we can move forward!
5. Looking forward to the weekend. It's my birthday AND a long weekend which means I will have time for rest. Have I mentioned how much I like to nap?
6. My wife and I are going out on Saturday to celebrate my birthday and I realize it is probably our last nice dinner out before the baby.
7. We're also going to pick up some seedlings at a local farm...probably just tomatoes as I am trying to keep things simple this year.
8. I cannot really overstate how excited I am about the arrival of my maternity underwear, nursing bras and bra extenders. Everything is getting tight!
9. Today the mail guy at work said to me, "Either you are still going to pop or you are having a very small baby." I think I should take that as a compliment that I am not enormous? The falafel guy also guessed I was 6 months (more like 8). Either way, my vagina and I are happy to have a small baby as long as he is in the healthy range (which he was at the last ultrasound).
10. Time to get on the subway. Can't wait for home and PJs.
ETA spacing.

1. Just woke up from a nap. The nap was mandated by my wife because she's witnessed how tired I've been.
2. Owen is co-sleeping with me it's pretty snugly & cute.
3. Kaden slept mostly in his bassinet/co-sleeper at this age. Occasionally we'd fall asleep while nursing in the glider (less regularly in our bed). But Owen's been in the bed since day one. Sleeping in a chair was giving me neck pain. Anyway it's definitely supporting our mutual sleep.
3. Yesterday was our first day w/o EV here and it went really well. I got a ton done around the house. The boys were in great moods. We went to the library and for a walk with Kaden's balance bike. Today..... The opposite. EVs really looking forward to the Schnitzel I was planning on making for dinner - here's hoping I can get that done & get to the store.
4. Ok when Owen "passes gas" it sounds like a grown person. It's so surprising!!!
5. I hear Kaden just waking up - let's see how fast I can wrap up my TTT ;-)
6. My goal was to start eating healthy yesterday (and tracking my food). That didn't happen, and neither did the healthy eating. I feel like I'm running ragged and the relying on junk food (like cereal) as a quick meal...
7. Kaden is howling. There's a book we read where I'll "act" out the animals. Lol
8. One of the mothers club moms organized a meal train for us. We had our first dinner dropped off last night. It was so nice to have dinner arrive at the door still warm :-).
9. So far Owen is not happy to be in the car 50% of the time. It makes for stressful driving. I've tried offering a pacifier (something EV was against w/ Kaden, for self soothing, dependency, etc reasons). Anyway 2nd kids get more lax & relaxed parents ;-). Unfortunately he can't/won't keep it in his mouth. Any recommendations of a good newborn pacifier?
10. I have no idea how I would have handled TTC, pregnancy & parenting w/o you folks!!! So grateful for this board & all of you. (@Insert huge group tag). Have a great day.

"Things separate from their stories have no meaning. They are only shapes. Of a certain size and color. A certain weight. When their meaning has become lost to us they no longer have even a name. 2. Because of the hard day, we went through our box of baby clothes and reminded ourself of how worth it this is!
3. Work has been crazy madness! I am ready for May to be over. I need lots of naps to make up for all the work time!
4. So excited for Oregon and Pennsylvania and there new rulings! Whenever I think of what they means in terms of birth certificates, it makes me cry! So happy for @KH826 that it may be just in time to make a huge difference!
5. Headed to my parents house this weekend for our annual Memorial Day pool party weekend. Looking so forward to that!
6. Excited for @StacyLH24 that your IVF funds came in! I hope it helps you reach your goal. And yes... It is true, once you are pregnant that TTC worry turns into other types of worry... But I am sure the worry will be worth it!
7. We bought a stroller last week. We had been fantasizing about it for a while... It was on sale, and we were feeling fiesty. We got the Mommas and Papas Sola, in jewel tone purple!
8. We skipped going to the movies this week to get the dogs their shots. Sometimes being an adult stinks.
9. I had an all staff meeting today and I work for a predominantly female organization. When I walked in the conference room there was an overwhelming smell of shampoo and body products. Silly pregnancy nose...
10. I finally for all my hair cut off! Summer hair cut time, so excited. No hair, don't care!
