late lip tie corrections

Partially venting and also looking for advice.

Lo will be 1 June 5th. She has a lip tie that I've been fighting to get fixed. We'd moved to a new area when she was 4months and I hadn't heard about lip ties and the issues they caused. Called my new dentist and he took 2 months to see her then wouldnt give me a referral becauese he doesn't believe in clipping them. Do more research and find a ped dentist that does the laser cutting. I call but since they aren't in my insurnace network I was told to have them submit some paperwork a month ago. I call today and thile office has no record of LO and said they dont submit paperwork till we are seen!

Frusterated at being jacked around. Is there still any benefit for correcting now?

    There could be issues with speech and possibly dental problems. But at this point, it may be worth just waiting to see what happens. Lots of people have it done with babies if they have trouble BFing. Definitely have the laser procedure done, we had it done and it was relatively quick and easy though it took a while to heal and baby hated the stretches we had to do.
