LO has decided that her 9pm bedtime is too late and now wants to go to sleep at 7:45. This means she now wants to start her day at 6am rather than 7am, so it is right when DH and I are trying to get ready for work. I knew we were lucky before when she would just sleep as we were getting ready but I didn't realize how lucky. I guess I will have to start getting up an hour earlier so I can be ready to entertain her at 6am. Oh well - there's worse ways to start my day than with baby smiles and giggles for an hour.
DS has started trying to feed DD. So far it's mostly his sippy cup that contains either water or milk but I've also caught him trying to shove a pita chip and a veggie straw in her mouth. He is never left unsupervised with her anyways but really?! I know he's trying to share but I don't need another thing to worry about.

Currently pumping on one side while LO nurses from the other. I really hate pumping, but I need to build up my freezer stash again. I would like to try to avoid supplementing but I'm not sure if I'll be able to
DH spent the whole weekend building the stairs on our back deck. It was actually a really nice view since he was using power tools with no shirt on but he looked like a candy cane when he came in, pasty white in the front and burnt bright red in the back lol

We live with my in laws and things have not been going that well. Last night DH and I talked to FIL for about 3 hours and we are having a meeting tonight with MIL also. Should be interesting. I'm dreading it but at the same time things need to be talked about. Can't wait til we move out!

DS1 insisted this weekend that brother wanted a bite of his snowcone. It is difficult to convince a 3 year old that while brother almost certainly would enjoy it, no. You can not shove sticky snowcone juice into his mouth.

Hahaha. It's like going on high alert when my niece and DD are together. She adores Eleanor so much. Too much... It's like watching a kid that hugs a bunny too hard... One of my favorites: "But baby Ellie could bounce higher if you let me help!"

Lol that's great! DS likes to say "I'll get her" no I will get the baby but thanks for looking out DS.
DD just started cracking up when DS is misbehaving (I.e. jumping on the couch, throwing toys in the air, etc). She thinks it's hilarious and he loves having an audience so he does it more. I think this is just the beginning of them ganging up on me.

5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
I just went to the bathroom at work and realized my underwear is inside out...#momproblems
I don't know if this is better or worse, but I realized mine were inside out right after I put them on this morning and thought eff it! It doesn't matter anyway!
After 3 attempts, ds1 is finally POTTY TRAINED!!! He has been doing it for 3 days, no accidents, not even during nap or bedtime! I am so happy and proud!!

What is your secret? We have 95% there a few times but then something happens (sickness, travel, baby) that sets us back.

I honestly think after trying two other times, he was just ready. We woke up Saturday, packed the diapers up in a box to go to the "diaper fairy" and wrote a note to her to tell her what he would like in return when he was successfully potty trained. Then we went to target and he picked out a treat to have after he went on the potty. The last couple times we kept him in pull ups for nap/bed but this time we eliminated the diapers completely and I think it did the trick. He knew there were no more diapers and he had to go on the potty. He didn't fight us like he used to, until last night when he had to poop. It was rough and he cried but as soon as he did it he was fine and went again today no problem! I know people say to stay home but I took him out as usual and brought the little potty attachment to the big potty and he was ok going in a strange place.
DS has been throwing up all night. I don't handle throw up so DH is on night duty. I also think I have a UTI. Ugh and we don't have insurance so I guess I'll have to go to urgent care and pay out of pocket for all of it.
Why was I looking on YouTube 6 months postpartum bodies. All that 20 minutes did was make me feel like crap and that I'm doing something wrong. I'm 8 lbs away from pre pregnancy but my stomach looks completely different.
I called poison control for the first time today. DD figured out that if she moves her potty stool to the counter, she can climb onto the counter and open up the mirror cabinet. What's in there you say? Flintstone vitamins that she LOVES! She ran in to me where I was changing the baby and said "mommy, you forgot to give me a vitamin!" I applauded her for remembering when she told me that she ate them all already. The little devil figured out how to open the child resistant cap and ate all of the vitamins! She's 2!!!!!!!
She's totally fine, but the two people I spoke with kept asking if they were the gummies or if they had iron in them. I guess if your kid eats random things, don't buy the gummies or vitamins with iron in them!

Oh no!!! When ds2 was 2 weeks old I was feeding him and ds1 decided to go in the bathroom and eat half of his bottle of toothpaste. He was totally fine, but I was a freaking mess. Lol
